Selling my baby! No more room in the garage to store her... A '65 Mustang convertible stole her spot! The odometer is correct. Under 65,000 original miles. Bought the car off an older gentleman from the neighborhood that owned it since new. Engine starts right up and runs strong. Transmission shifts smooth through all the gears. No leaks, smoke, or funny noises from the motor. There is a small exhaust leak under the car so it's louder than normal, but personally I think it sounds great. Very recently the "check brake" light came on, but the car stops fine so I'm not sure what the problem is. The body of this car is very, very solid with only one spot of rust-through on the drivers side front fender. There is surface rust beginning to form under the doors and trunk lid, but it's not too advanced so it would be an easy fix. The floors and trunk are rock solid. Rear quarters are solid as well. The paint job does not look that great up close. In fact the current paint job was done more as a rust inhibitor as the original paint was getting thin and badly faded. The interior of this Caddy is in pretty good shape for the year. The leather would benefit from a good steam cleaning. No rips or tears in any of the seating material. The dash board is perfect with no cracks. All glass is perfect. The power windows and locks work flawlessly. The bottom portion of drivers side door panel needs attention. The mechanics of the electric convertible top work great, but keep in mind that the cloth does need to be replaced. The car comes with a really nice parade boot cover that looks great. If you do your research you'll see that these convertibles are extremely rare with only 9,000 units being produced in 1973. The NADA Classic guide values this car at almost $10,000 in "low" condition. Given the super low miles and how solid this car is, this can be a great deal for a savvy collector.
