Vehicle Detail
This land cruiser started life as (3) three FJ40s. 1969, 1971 and 1978. All were rusted and not running. I disassembled all of them and kept the best parts. This vehicle has been rebuilt from the frame up with original parts, new parts and custom fabricated parts.. I am not a professional in this field by any means but i loved working on it for 4 years. I did the very best i could to make every part as best it could be with body work or paint or replacement with new parts. Already has front disc brakes. It is not show quality but it is safe, reliable and strong as an ox. You won't find an FJ40 with so few issues if you want to restore or use as a trail vehicle. Wait until you see the list of NEW parts and the easy list of items to be completed. From my research and the PO story, it has a 1969 Camaro 350 V8 that runs awesome. The truck runs and drives. It is registered in Tennessee. Clean Tennessee title in hand. New items: Front leaf springs, all new leaf spring bushings, rubber floor mat in rear, Headliner, Muffler and tailpipes to rear axle, entire brake system including master cylinder, shoes and lines, custom running boards like no other, auxiliary fuel tank, all weather stripping, B&M shifter, windshield glass, removable top gasket, sound deadening throughout, rear jump seats upholstery, single stage urethane paint, shocks, door hinges, gas caps, air cleaner, all body mounts, wiper blades, fog lights, all new aftermarket gauges, new headlights and tail lights, new painless wiring harness, custom tailgate, valve covers and a hundred more new things. What needs to be done: Install new hatch supports and opening hardware, connect the front and rear heaters (they work), finish the wiring (every wire is marked with where it goes), both doors need some "fitment" to close and the latches installed, this may mean porta-power, grinding, bending, tweaking of doors or hinges. needs tail pipes to go over rear axle if you want them, Roll cage can use some securing either welding or bolts for optimal security. Fuel line needs to be connected to fuel pump. Running on gravity 1 gallon can right now. Did not want to put any gas in newly cleaned tanks. Everything except bolts and screws come with the vehicle to finish it. along with tons of extra parts. I'm including 2 ways to mount the spare, 2 half doors, a full extra drivers door with glass, a spare tire (same size), a repair manual, wiring diagram, rear jump seats. and several more boxes full. This is a unique vehicle with custom bumpers, tow hooks and clevises, 2" trailer hitch receivers front and rear, custom dash full of new gauges, new door panels and extras. The list goes on. Mileage is unknown since the engine, gauges, body and dash all came from different vehicles. Understand this is a project vehicle. Lights need connection to dash switch. There will be some time and work required to make this a 20 grand truck but it is close. All metal is solid but may show some surface rust from being outside for 4 years. Starting low. Awesome deal here. Located in Harrogate, Tennessee near I-75, I-40 and I-81 near Cumberland Gap. Will deliver for gas, hotel and hourly fee. For sale locally so auction may end at any time.
