Here we have a well documented, low mileage TRUE 1964 Chevy Impala SS 327ci, 300hp, 4spd car. This is a very rare high performance small block 4spd Impala SS. Believed to be original (no guarantee because of age) 64,000 (ish) miles on the odometer. Condition and history say yes. DOCUMENTATION: Here is where is gets fun. I have 1) copy of ORIGINAL TITLE, 2) ORIGINAL REGISTRATION, 3) ORIGINAL OWNER PROTECTION PLAN BOOKLET AND WARRANTY CARD WITH 1st and 2nd OWNERS NAMES, 4) ORIGINAL OWNER'S MANUAL WITH PLASTIC BAG w/ owners name and notes, 5) DEALER INVOICE The rear end is date and specific correct, the Muncie 4spd has correct VIN stamped and is original. Block is correct block stamped 870 block with date code and blocked boss. This is a truly impossible to find "no option" car (except for the dealer installed under-dash A/C and the ORIGINAL tinted glass. These "Widowmaker" cars were ordered to "race and wreck" and extremely rare. Let's start with the condition. If is superb for a NON RESTORED CAR. I found this car in a private museum in Toronto a few years back and set off to refresh it to as close to original glory as I possible could. I rebuilt the suspension, steering and brake systems. They all work as they should car tracks straight as an arrow. Steering and suspension are true. The underside of this car is truly spectacular. Everything was cleaned up. The gas tank is NEW and very original looking OEM replacement tank. Some pics of the underside are included. The rear end is original to the car as best I can tell. It is correct date coded and marked as it should be, and is the correct open diff rear end. The Muncie 4spd transmission is original to the car. I found the correct VIN code stamped on the case. The engine compartment is very original. The block is not original, but is a verifiable bench replacement 870 block with a period correct date code and proper block stamp. It is a correct 327/300 block. The double hump heads, intake manifold and carburetor are correct, stamped as correct and likely original. The remainder of the underside is gloriously OEM. Down to the battery cables, hoses, glass bowl fuel filter, master cylinder and cover, and that washer fluid bottle! Trim and chrome are absolutely OEM and likely original. NOT REPRODUCTION. The chrome is beautiful. The interior is largely original. The tach on the column is KILLER original for this configuration. The carpet is new. The seat upholstery appears very original. You can tell by the patina and the pillowing of the vinyl (repro stuff is heat stamped). Buckets seats are very solid. The center console is gorgeous and original. The shifter and knob are correct as well. The exterior is stunning. The paint looks liquid is is so nice. The car was painted in the early 80's on it's way into the museum, so there are some small flaws, but it is gorgeous and shows extremely well. The lines on the car are very straight, which is exceptional for a car of this length and age. This is original metal people...and it is undented and straight The hubcaps are THE original 1 year/ 1 car only 1964 Impala SS "spinner" hubcaps and they are in exceptional condition, as is the rest of the car. I have meticulously stored and cared for this multiple award winning vintage muscle car. It lives in a climate controlled outbuilding. I keep it fresh and drive it enough to keep it running like a top. This car is a BEAST of a runner. Clutch works just great, shifts easily (remember is it a very mechanical 1964 tranny). GREAT CAR, RARE CAR. This is not your daddy's family cruiser sport coupe. This is a serious high performance, small block muscle beast. It's needs nothing but to be driven and cared for.
