Vehicle Detail
For sale is a 1966 Chevy Chevelle Malibu, 350 engine, 3 speed on the floor, bench seat, 10 bolt rear end, power steering, original California car. The chevelle runs and drives great. I purchased this car from a friend and only drive it on nice days. The chevelle was an original 3 speed on the column and was professionally relocated with a Hurst 3 speed shifter on the floor. The floor hump was also professionally installed, very nice work. The car shifts great. The original color of the car was green (HH) code. The car is now blue. The body and paint is a great driver quality, but not a Barret Jackson show paint. The paint is also matte clear coat and looks great. It has an old school hot rod look. I had my mechanic work on the car and he said all the panels look original with no rust and the only previous damage he can find was on the rear passenger panel that was repaired. The only replacement panel he could find was the Dutchman panel and it was professionally installed really well. This chevelle is a nice original car with original floor pans and trunk, no rust. The body is straight with some small dings and blemishes on the roof and tops of the rear quarter panels. Nothing major. I am very picky and want to describe any flaws I see or find. The deck lid needs to have a small adjustment to fit perfect and the rear passenger tail light housing is a little tweaked. Trunk seal lip has partial deterioration and would need repair to be perfect. Trunk lid seals and works as is.Here is a list of items I have had to replaced or repaired:batterycables holley carburetorvictor JR intakeplugs and wiresalternatorclutchBF Goodrich tirescarpetheadlightsfront and rear heavy duty sway barsheater corefan motorstarterwindshieldwipersbody sealsfront and rear door panelsall 4 shocksautometer ultra lite 2 tachometerauto gaugesfuel tankall new seals around the doorsThe lights, heater and speedo work great. The undercarriage is really nice and clean. The chevelle runs at 195 degrees and holds 45-50 psi oil pressure. The car has been in California from 1966-2014. In 2014 my friend purchased the car and brought it to Oregon. The car is always stored inside. This chevelle runs and drives great and would take very little to be a show car. Here is a list of items I was going to do but have not done yet:back seat is rough and needs rebuiltinstall headlinerbackup lights not hooked upturn signals work slowno radioinstall window feltsThe car is available for viewing any day after 3pm.
