Vehicle Detail
Just taken out of long term storage this pretty Springtime Yellow with Parchment interior San Jose built 67 convertible is ready for it's next makeover. The car is 100% complete and runs great. Original 289 V8 with power steering and brakes does not leak, smoke or rattle. A new battery, gas tank, fuel pump and carburetor rebuild were done to get her up and running. Trans shifts nice with no issues. Steering is very nice also. The power top is excellent and runs up and down fast. All gauges and lights work and the original radio plays loud and clear. Tires do seem to have flat spot on one or two. The interior is very nice with a perfect dash and like new carpet. Seats look original and both front buckets have one split on each cushion. Windows all go up and down with ease. All the chrome on the exterior is free from pits and corrosion and very nice. I wouldn't touch it. All the glass is excellent with no pits or delamination. The top has had to have been replaced at some point because it is super nice. The paint has had a respray many years ago probably and really still looks nice except for the bad areas that need rust repair. The worst is the right 1/4 which is rusted through. The left 1/4 has some bubbling along with the front corners of the doors on the exterior only. I would patch those areas and spot paint myself. I had the car up on the rack and looked it over good. The floors, rockers, rails and torque boxes are nice with only an area right next to the rockers on each side up front being soft. Fix it or leave it, either way it's not that horrible. The only other trouble spots I found were on the top of the inner fenders. Again, should be fixed but not horrible. The odo shows 28,000 and change but I'd bet it's rolled over. Don't know either way. I purchased the car from a friend of the original owner who was a school teacher in Colorado. He was going to do the car someday but never made the effort. I'm retired here in Scottsdale Arizona and plan on going through the car eventually if it doesn't sell. I work alone and have seven projects ahead of it so it will be years before I get to it. This is a very nice car with lots of originality and great colors that would make a really sweet ride when done. It could easily be done as a rolling restoration without becoming amajor project. Sold as is with no warranty. Clear title. Please call for more info 480 209 0295
