1971 Suzuki TS 185 Dual Purpose True Classic COLLECTABLE and investment bike in amazing condition. Clear Title, only 403 miles showing. All numbers are matching, Title, Engine and Frame. Excellent Chrome, Plastics, Rubber on grips, pegs, kick starter etc. Tires appear original, Paint is exceptional, Logo for SUZUKI tank near perfect, the gorgeous chrome "185" waving flags on silver side panels are also near mint; near showroom condition. Some slight oxidization on some chrome nuts/bolts, but generally per the pictures taken 4.20.16, in supremely good appearance. I Purchased 2 1/2 years ago and had this trailer driven to my storage as an investment, and wished to scratch the itch of a nostalgic “I-always-wanted-to-own one-of-these-bikes”. Sadly, Divorce is prompting sale of unnecessary assets. NOTE 1: In 2 ½ years I have personally never so much as tried to start this unit. Battery probably must be ordered from a Suzuki dealer. Unit is being sold AS IS to be trailered away by you from garage in Ridgewood. While this bike was represented by seller to me as perfect running, and shifting you and your mechanic should be prepared to start for the first time in several years. Mileage believed to be true; but can not be verified due to age. This antique is to be sold AS-IS. Note 2: also that despite exceptional condition, there is a slow crank case oil leak, (apparently the common side gasket standard item which goes over time--Not a center gasket leak which is a sign of abuse. If you act fast, I have a local mechanic who could install the rare Suzuki side gasket Kit -- if you catch him before peak "prep for summer" mechanical work. Note 3: No Liens on Title but the existing Pennsylvania Title in my posession has been signed over to the Maryland Dealer I purchased from, Not Me....so, factor that paperwork & processing into your bid if you do not intend to title soon, not simply use off- road, or just show/display, I am not a dealer, this is 3rd of 3 prized 2 wheeled possessions which I have to dispose of.
