For auction NR!!!1979 VW bus purchased from UT. In 2013 it made its way to the greater Chicago land area where it has been stored indoors at my workplace since the day it arrived. This project seemed to be a fast and easy fixer upper, which it is time permitting. Unfortunately work and other commitments are forfeiting this project as progress has gone nowhere for many months. The body work has been evaluated and started and new parts and panels have been sourced. Exterior is solid with little to no rust spots and underneath is much the same. The electronic fuel injection was removed and a new dual Weber carb kit have been fitted but wait to be tuned in. Compression is good but I have not seen this motor running since bought it. ITS NOT RUNNING! My last progress in July 2015 was getting the fuel pump wired up and getting the carbs fitted along with the linkage, I didn't have the fuel pressure regulator set at proper psi and I'm lucky I didn't set it all ablaze. This project is a great candidate for the right dedicated person who knows something about this baby. Includes: all original parts that came with the vehicle when purchased in 2013 and new replacement and aftermarket parts are included. The color is not original nor is the carpet or seat covers. The bench seats in back are in great condition and original vinyl brown in color The electronic fuel injection system will be included but the webers suit this bus. Required sills and fenders are included along with rear panels. Bumpers are in okay condition with minor dents and dings. Hub center caps will polish up well but tires need replacing. New turn signal light lenses and tail lights along with original units are included. Aftermarket dual exhaust included which will sound great. The original color was brown over tan/cream. The last owner painted it orange and white. The pictures of paint layers down to metal are NOT depicting RUST of filler. There is very little rust and is solid metal. Again this is a great candidate for restore without the major resto headaches. From the west coast in primarily desert environment. Thanks
