Vehicle Detail
This 2 owner G25 with Low mileage comes to you with numbers matching engine and transmission . It is very similar to the George Barris GMC Vandura used in the hit 1980's show the A-Team which launched in 1983. The Vandura in the show was owned by Mr T / B.A Barracus and driven by all the cast. It was the headquarters of a Band of wanted commando's . They make money by being mercenaries . All the Guns and ammo were kept in the Vandura as well as surveillance equipment . The van is known by fans as the 5th member of the cast . The Vandura is the most recognizable van in the world . George Barris ordered the GMC cargo vans to be customized for the show in 1982 with the 350ci engine and 350 turbo transmission . The Vandura's had the square headlights new for 1983 G-vans After the show was cancelled by universal studio's in 1987, all of the inventory and crashed Vandura's were destroyed and NO A-Team show vans survive anywhere by anyone . The Legend is that Universal Studio's had a dispute with GMC motor co. and when the show cancelled they took pleasure in destroying all the vans . This is a Rare 3/4 ton with a great body and Frame with a perfect 2 owner history report. It has a 110 inch wheel base and is known as a shorty van. Chevy G-van's are used in these A-Team replica builds because early 1980"s GMC vandura's are hard to find in any condition . The GMC Vandura G25 were mostly sold to plumbers and carpenters as BARE BONES company trucks and worked very hard with few surviving in this condition; this vandura was used to tow a small boat . 1982 was the Introduction by GMC of the locking steering column. This Vandura represent's the last year for the round headlights which makes this truck very special and collectable . The exterior is in primer and titled as Black , The only rust on the the body is the hood lip . Two small rust holes near engine bay where the dog house bolts were located . Engine will run. Authentic 1983 cyclone wheels wrapped in new BF goodrich T/A tires. Heater core is new and rear heater works. New brakes front and back. New alternator. Transmission Serviced and flushed 350 turbo 3 speed automatic transmission. Heavy Duty 3/4 ton rear springs and tow package. Locking differential. Engine Runs great but will need exhaust manifold replaced to be driven. The van runs great and was a good driving project until the shop cracked the exhaust manifold. The stroked 250 version produced 155 hp (116 kW) for Chevrolet and GMC, with a 37/8 in bore and 317/32 in stroke. Between 1975 and 1984, an integrated cylinder head was produced, with one-barrel intakes for passenger cars, and two-barrel intakes for trucks after 1978 This van can be driven and enjoyed when the exhaust manifold is replaced . It will also need a seat and battery to be driven . This van is sold as-is and must be towed. If you have NO Ebay feedback DO NOT BID ! If you have NO paypal DO NOT BID !
