Vehicle Detail

2003 Ford Crown Victoria Police Interceptor Up for sale is my 03 Crown Vic Police Interceptor with only 84,408 miles on it. This car was previously owned by the State University of New York at Buffalo and assigned to the detective as his vehicle. This car was never used for patrol nor did it ever have any of the emergency equipment nor graphics on it. As previously stated this was used by the detective as a one driver car and it did not have any police equipment in it. The car does not have any holes in the body for antennas or did it ever have a spot light on it. The interior has the crushed velour with the split bench seat and side impact airbags, the rear doors function normal and you can open the doors from the inside. You can eat off the interior of this car and the dash is also nice and clean. Only defect of the interior are two small holes in the headliner above the rear view mirror where I believe a camera may have been mounted and it is missing the cup holder. The car has all power equipment to include power windows, power locks, power driver seat, tilt wheel, cruise control, heated mirrors, side impact airbags, ABS, cold A/C and hot heat. The interior dome light works when the doors are opened unlike most PI’s that have the dome light disabled. Every option works on the car and there are no warning lights illuminated on the instrument cluster. I purchased the car last year when it was decommissioned by the University in June 2015. Yes the car was in service for 12 years and I purchased it with only 80,108 miles on it. Very rare to find a PI with all the options this car has and that was only driven about 6700 miles a year! The car was removed from service due to a faulty transmission shift cable (common problem on these cars). Prior to placing the car on the road I performed the following service: New brakes on all four wheels to include rotors and pads.New emergency brake shoes (old ones fell apart when I removed rotors).New thermostat, wanted to ensure I had good heat in the winter.New PI shocks, old ones appeared to be original to the car.New transmission shift cableNew headlight bulb The car runs and drives very nice and I have driven it over 4,000 miles since I purchased it. The car passed New York State inspection (safety and emissions) in December of 2015 and the mileage was 81,000 when inspected. The car does have an open recall on it right now for the Lighting Control Module and my local dealer still has not received the parts for perform this recall. If the part comes in prior to the auction ending I will have the service performed, if not you can take the car to your local Ford or Lincoln Service Department and they will perform the recall repair at no charge to you. Now although this is a nice car please remember that it is 13 years old and has been in the Buffalo, NY are for all of its life. The car does have some rust on it in the typical locations for Crown Vics. Take a look at the photos regarding the rust, please be aware of this when you are bidding. Car also has a small crack in the header panel above the left headlight, I believe when they were pushing the car into place for the auction that is when the scratched on the bumpers and this crack took place. The tires will need to be replaced sooner than later but they did pass inspection 4,000 miles ago. The fronts must need to be balanced because you will get a little shake but I put different wheels with snow tires on for the winter and the car drove as smooth as can be with the snows on it so I know they probably just need to be balanced. Like I said the interior is beautiful and it is very rare to find a PI with the velour interior, most have the cloth bucket with the vinyl rear seat. I have tried to describe this car to the best of my knowledge, please feel free to contact me with any questions. I encourage anyone to come by and check out the car prior to bidding on it, I will also assist as much as I can if you are having a shipper pick up the car. Vehicle is being sold AS-IS and all transportation costs are the responsibility of the buyer. I am only selling this car due to purchasing a 06 PI that is immaculate. I also have a set of 2007 Mustang GT wheels (17 inch) with good tires on them that I will offer to the auction winner if they are interested. The last photos show the car as it sat when I purchased it off of the university to include an interior shot with how clean it was when purchased and the last photo is my 2006 that I purchased which is why I am selling this one. You can see that the only thing I did to the car was wash it due to being in nice condition at the time of purchase. Car is registered and insured so the mileage may go up a bit but as soon as the vehicle is sold I will stop driving it.*For some reason this car is listed as CNG, this is not correct the car runs on gasoline**After listing this car I noticed that the history report shows a collision with another vehicle, I don't see any paintwork on the car and like I previously stated regarding the scratches on the bumper and small crack in the header panel are the only damages I see on the car. Possibly these were caused by a minor collision.....I have no idea but like I said I see no paintwork anywhere on the car**Car is listed for sale locally and this listing may be removed at anytime due to the car being sold local*
