Vehicle Detail
1966 Ford F350 Cab/chassis with original Morrison Utility box. 352 cid FE V8, NP435 4 speed transmission. 38,000 original miles. Very solid truck, no deep rust on the body or frame. Mechanically sound. South Carolina truck from new, brought to Michigan in 2008 with 33k on it. Starts, runs, drives, shifts, stops as it should. Cab corners and fenders are solid. Floor is solid, and was coated with POR-15 when I put the carpeting in. Body is in great condition. The Utility box is solid, no holes or rot. Includes the key for the locks. Originally equipped with power brakes, I upgraded the brake system to a 1973 F350 Dual circuit power brake booster and master cylinder. New wheel cylinders and brake shoes were installed. All of the original parts come with the truck - a new reman master cylinder, a new reman brake booster, the original brake booster and lines. It also comes with (4) nos front brake drums, and new front and rear raybestos brake shoes. Originally equipped with a Motorcraft 2150 2V carburetor, I upgraded the 352 FE V8 to an aluminum Edelbrock 4V intake manifold and a Holley 4V with electric choke. All original parts come with the truck - the 2v intake, spacer, bolts, and carb. The 2150 has been rebuilt. The engine starts immediately and runs smoothly. New exhaust manifolds were installed, along with a flowmaster muffler. A reman distributor was installed and the ignition system was upgraded to a Pertronix electronic ignition system and coil. Also installed were a new fuel pump/filter, new alternator, regulator, alternator harness, and new water pump. The battery will likely need replacing, only holds a charge for a few days. The NP435 transmission has been completely rebuilt, all new bearings, seals, and improved syncros from Novak transmission. In addition to the shifter tower being rebuilt, a new clutch and throwout bearing was also installed. All 6 tires have less than 2000 miles on them. The fronts are Nokian radials, the rear are Hercules Bias Ply. Includes a spare tire and wheel, and a 2nd spare wheel. These are Heavy Duty riveted wheels. Included also are the original quotes from the dealership, the original sales invoice (this truck was over $4000 in 1966!) an original set of service manuals, and the original owner's manual. New old stock Monroe front shocks, a kingpin kit, wheels bearings, and several other parts are included. The original fan shroud is also included, although it is very fragile. Original options on this truck were : Heavy duty wheels, AM radio (which works,) Blinker light switch, 3 roof lights, and the Morrison utility box. There are several stickers on the glove box door which document oil and point service on the truck up until 2006. The truck is wired with an auxiliary fuse block and 7 pin trailer connector. I towed my race car trailer with this truck, and still use it around town occasionally. Sold as is, where is. No reserve, high bidder wins, no games. Non refundable Paypal deposit of $500 due within 24 hours of auction end. Payment in cash or bank check due in full before release of truck or title. Truck must be picked up within 2 weeks of auction end unless other arrangements are made. Please ask all questions before bidding. I will be happy to provide info or pictures. Thanks for looking. On Mar-21-16 at 07:27:41 PDT, seller added the following information: Additional factory options on this truck are : 1350# front spring, Auxiliary rear spring, and 2 speed windshield wipers. The wheelbase is 132". Everything on the truck works. All of the spare parts that are included with the truck are simply the result of owning several of these over the past few decades and accumulating parts. This is my last one so everything goes with it. The transmission did not have any problems but was rebuilt because it leaked, and the 3-4 syncro upgrade is very worthwhile. The intake was changed mainly to fix oil leaks also. The rear main weeps a little. The truck is wired with a 7 pin trailer connector but does not come with a brake controller. The wires are marked and one can easily be re-installed. There are also wires for a tachometer, oil pressure gauge, and the rear flood lights. On Mar-26-16 at 06:45:43 PDT, seller added the following information: The cab mounts are solid. The doors are solid. The core support and inner fenders are solid. The floor was painted with por-15 not because it was rusty, but because I was there, if you know what I mean. The pictures really don't do justice to how solid this truck is, the dirt isn't hiding anything (I should have washed the underside better!.) It had zero rust on it in 2008 when I brought it here to Michigan with the exception of some of the paint patina. The paint is all original except for the hood which was painted long ago. Looking on the underside of the hood there are no dents, hammer marks, or repairs so I don't know why it was painted. The grille is straight. There is no front bumper because when I got it, it had a fabricated front bumper that had a winch mount on it that was ugly and weighed 200 pounds. As far as I can tell it has never been in an accident. The seat was re-trimmed. I put some foil faced Jute material on the fuel tank because the seat back springs would rub on the tank and squeak. Thanks for your questions, feel free to ask more and I'd be happy to take pictures of anything you are interested in.
