This is a No Reserve auction for a 2002 2.4 Toyota Camry LE 4-Door. There are 175,190 original miles on the vehicle. This car is currently not running and is being sold as a repair or for parts. The initiating event was a blown head gasket, which I decided to replace myself. I took the engine apart, cleaned everything up and replaced the head gasket. (It was blown between 2 cylinders). Apparently this particular year model is notorious for stripping out head bolts on the intake side, and as luck would have it the very first bolt that I attempted to torque down stripped out the head bolts in the engine block. I don't really have the tools necessary, or the experience for that matter, to make this repair. I know of at least two specific companies that sell universal kits to drill out the bolt holes and replace with inserts, which would allow the head to be torqued down properly. 1) huhnsolutions.com 2) timesert.com I had already purchased new head bolts, new head gasket, new oil pan gasket, new engine mount that needed replacing, and a brand new radiator that also needed replacing. These items are being included in the auction. All the engine components have been laid out and labeled to help facilitate reassembling the engine. The head itself is in good condition along with the cylinders and pistons. The transmission is in perfect working order along with the remaining components of the drivetrain. As far as the rest of the car is concerned, it's in very good condition. Only 2 owners and for the most part, my wife would just drive it to work and college. It was a Florida car for most of its life so no rust on the under carriage. Its never been involved in a major accident or flooding or anything similar to that.
