Vehicle Detail

Selling this well preserved 1982 Volkswagen Westfalia with a Jetta 1.8 liter, fuel injected engine. Engine was installed at a cost of $12,389(see receipt). This is the best choice to keep your German vehicle all German. The Westfalia has traveled a whole 131,775. Engine was installed at 123,733 according to the receipt. It runs great. Previous owner had a lot of work performed, transaxle was also overhauled at the time of engine installation and the clutch was changed out too. In my opinion and I have driven both the Subaru engine Westfalia's and this particular one, my preference is for the Jetta option. Although I like Japanese cars, the Westfalia's are better served by this option to keep it as German as possible. Just kidding, I like them both. The paint still shines on this old Westy and it has picked up some battle scars at the campground along the was. The passenger rear wheel arch has some scraping as does the sliding door on the bottom. The rear bumper is custom built to allow for a bike rack to be attached. The interior is incredible. The front seats had sheepskin covers on them the entire time. I just removed them today and tossed them as they were old and smelly. The z-bed folds flat, the upper bunk is nice and clean. The stove, sink and fridge are all present and according to the previous owner, they work. Every curtain, screen and cover is present to keep the light out so you can have a good nights rest. It is just a joy to drive. I drove it 45 minutes from their house to mine in San Francisco traffic and it ran cool. It did not go past the half way mark on the temp gauge. Selling this beauty for NO RESERVE. Final bid gets to own this beauty. With all my auctions, a few requirements. First, NO PAYPAL. Second, any and all bidders with less than 10 feedback and/or negative feedback must contact me prior to bidding with their full name and contact number or their bid will be cancelled and their user ID blocked from additional bidding. Third, you are bidding to own, not look and make excuses. Any and all inspections welcome during the auction period, not after. Once the auction is over, you are the new owner. Seller has represented vehicle to the best of his knowledge at the time of sale and makes no warranties as to the condition of vehicle that are not known to him at the time of sale. Also, selling in AS-IS, Where-Is condition with NO WARRANTIES, expressed or implied. Although vehicle looks and runs good, it is a used vehicle and not showroom new. Vehicle is also advertised locally and seller reserves right to end the auction early and cancel any and all bids if sold outside of ebay. Any and all bidders can email seller for a buy it now if they cannot wait until auction's end. So, with a great bid campfire roar, let the auction begin. I have three videos that can be viewed. Instead of answering each email, I will post the answers here. It is registered as a 1982 Volkswagen Vangaon Diesel and is exempt for emissions in our state. It now has a 1.8 liter Jetta, fuel injected motor that was installed by International Auto Service of Livermore, CA, a BAR(Bureau of Automotive Repair) certified shop. Their BAR # is ARD 207564. This was not some "backyard" job. The previous owner went through the complete drive train and paid, $12,389.28, the invoice is attached in the auction. It has only had 8,000 miles driven on the Jetta motor since the swap. It runs great and shifts great too. The poptop is a few years old according to the previous owner. It is the three window version and is more gray in color. I hope this answers everyone's questions. If you would like any other information, please feel free to contact me.
