If you have wished you could go into your local Chevy dealership and order a one ton dump truck with the vaunted 8.1L big block engine combined with the Allison transmission you know you are out of luck. Although many of us think this was the best combination ever it was discontinued. So here is your opportunity to acquire what is quite possibly the nicest 8.1 dump truck on the planet in near new condition. Loaded up with the 496 cubic inch big block engine, 4x4, Allison auto transmission, A/C, 9' Fisher Minute Mount plow, tilt wheel, cruise, intermittent wipers and fully reconditioned she is ready to go to work for you with no deferred maintenance. And only 13,250 one owner miles. And, best of all, being offered at NO RESERVE. This was the boss man's truck used mostly as back up for his landscape fleet. He retired and kept the best for last. I was impressed with the like new condition of the driveline, cab, interior and dump body. It looked and drove perfect. What turned out to be a major problem was the frame. It must have been made from defective metal because a few areas had significant corrosion issues. Instead of fooling around with welds or braces, I took it to my favorite mechanic and had his shop put a NEW FRAME under it. Thats right, went to the local Chevy dealer and ordered up a brand new factory frame and assorted parts and pieces that go with it including new brakes, tie rods, hoses, bolts, etc. etc. After several weeks of hard work she just rolled back out looking and operating like a near new truck. Tons of torque, smooth shifting tranny, goes down the road just like you would hope. Does everything you want and nothing you don't. Of course no truck is perfect and, if you are picky, you can find a small blemish in the paint that has been touched up here or there. But, overall she is a "wow" with no stains, rust, smells, leaks, warning lights or other bad habits. Exhaust manifold gaskets were done. Gas tanks are plastic so they should be good forever. Plow has a nice hand held "fishstick" controller. Dump bed is very nice with no holes or problem areas. Interior is as new with nothing to complain about. Glass is very nice. Body is near perfect with no rust repairs ever evident. Tires are all recent and matching. Tried to take care of any and all areas of needed improvement right down to new plow edge, wipers, alignment, ball joints, shocks, front bumper, fluids and filters. Had the ugly "A frame" mirrors removed and replaced with modern mirrors. Truck was just detailed and water beads up nicely on the freshly waxed surfaces. Clean and clear NH title in hand for an easy transaction. As always your satisfaction is 100% guaranteed.
