Vehicle Detail

I have a 1977 Corvette with 83,872 orginal miles for sale. I bought this car in January 1992 from the original owner who was a friend of my parents and had owned many Corvettes in the past and had recently purchased a new one. The car was my primary vehicle for a few years after 1992 while I attended Texas Tech and afterwards I drove a company vehicle and also purchased a new vehicle. I drove it occasionally, but mostly it remained stored in the garage and for a time in a rented storage unit. The last time the vehicle was registered with the DMV was 1994. Approx 17 years ago the transmission started slipping and the car remained stored until I had the transmission rebuilt approx 7 years ago. The calipers were very bad by then and it remained parked in the garage afterward. The speedometer and and therefore the odometer, and all other displays on the dash with exception of the tach and oil pressure gauge, quit working soon before the transmission went out but all had worked before that time. There hasn’t been 70 miles put on the car since the transmission was replaced. A couple years ago I replaced all four calipers, had a valve job done on the engine, had the A/C converted to R-134a and installed four new tires. I’ve thought many times of restoring this car but it doesn’t look like I’ll ever make time for that and I should sell it. I’ve never tried to sell this car before and my 10 yr old son is completely against it but it needs to be done. This car had been repainted once before I bought it and the seats had been re-leathered and the dash top redone. The dash has some flaking as I show in the pictures. The car runs, sounds, starts and shifts good. It has never been wreaked or had anything significant replaced. Very nice sounding car. The paint is in bad shape and truly just was never a good paint job. The molding around the doors doesn't seal well and there is some gap between the door panels and the doors, as shown in the pictures.. My step daughter had broken the back glass with a softball while it sat in the garage and the glass people broke the plastic trim around it as shown in the pictures. The edge of the passenger’s door had hit a post while being opened and chipped off a bit , as shown in the picture. The front plastic bumper has been damaged when my brother backed into it as I was parked behind him in the driveway. The chrome trim behind the front left wheel has been bent and torn away from its bracket when a portion of the front tire tread detached and hit it. There are some bushings in the suspension that need to be be replaced, mainly because the car is 39 years old. I have the original owner’s manual and manufacture’s car description with purchased options, along with dealers inspection checklist. I also have the original AM/FM radio 8 track and optional brackets that hold the T-Tops on the luggage rack. Included is an indoor car cover.
