After 7-1/2 years, I'm selling my 2002 Honda Insight, 5-speed, 237,746 miles. Follow the link to the Free Carfax Report. I've really liked this car - but my wife says SELL IT! so I'm selling it. I've done all the maintenance on it since I bought it in 2009 with 28,000 miles. I replaced the hybrid battery in October 2014. The engine's in solid shape, and goes through roughly 1/2 quart of oil in 5,000 miles.  The body is straight, other than a crack in the windshield that I've let go for a couple years now, since it still passes state safety inspection. The transmission is having troubles: it won't go into 4th or 5th gear anymore (it'll still drive at highway speeds in 3rd gear @ 3000-3500 rpm).   Other items:   - the tires need replacing;   - the driver's seat is torn on the left bolster where I rub it getting in and out of it, - from time to time I get the "Check Engine Light" - Autozone sold me a replacement fuel cap that they said would fix it. The cap helped, but didn't completely cure the problem; - the undercar engine shrouds have broken loose [again] and need to be either rigged back up or taken off to keep them from dragging. I was planning to get tires and a transmission for it, and keep on driving it. But my wife said SELL IT NOW! - so I've priced it low, for what I figure the hybrid battery alone is worth, and hope to have it sold quick. The car's in Pittsburg, TX - about two hours east of Dallas, about an hour north of Tyler or Longview.
