Vehicle Detail
THIS CAR IS NOT RUNNING - DOESN'T START - DOESN'T TURN OVER MUST BE TRANSPORTED WITH FLAT BED TOW TRUCK AT BUYER'S EXPENSE THIS CAR IS A RESTORATION PROJECT. PLEASE READ THE DESCRIPTION CAREFULLY AND LOOK AT ALL OF THE PHOTOS. I AM BEING AS ACCURATE AS POSSIBLE IN MY DESCRIPTION, AND WILL ANSWER ANY QUESTIONS PROMPTLY. MORE PHOTOS ARE AVAILABLE UPON REQUEST. I've owned this vehicle for about 17 years (I'm the second owner, and still have the bill of sale), but I haven't driven it in about eight. It was my local daily driver for a while, but one day just wouldn't turn over. I had planned on restoring it, but I haven't had the time to do so. It was in a garage for most of its life, but I had to push it out into the driveway about a year ago. This car needs A LOT of work. The body is perfect, but needs a new paint job. There's no rust, but it's oxidized in some places, and peeling around the underside of the hood. I don't know why it stopped running, and I haven't had a mechanic look at it in a long time. There's a lot going on with the car conditionally, but I know someone out there is going to think it's a worthwhile restoration project. This is the list of what I KNOW needs to be repaired/replaced: windshield - seriously cracked, but still holdingpassenger window regulator/cable - window falls down inside the door; currently taped offheadliner - peeling around sunroof sealsremovable sunroof seal/gasket - i would think this needs to be replaced because of the headliner issue, but it's not taking on water or anythingsunroof interior panel - it's basically falling offrear wiper - removed - may also need a new motorcarpeting - discolored throughout most of the vehiclefuel tank (leaked)dashboard console - cracked in a few places, definitely needs to be replaceddriver's side visor mount Again, I don't know why it stopped running. It has a fully intact original 1986 engine, a fully rebuilt automatic transmission (somewhat rare on this model), and all other original parts, including the Blaupunkt stereo. I have most of the service records for the car, and it's got a clean (blue) New York State title. If you're looking for a major project, this is a great little car… and it even comes with a sealed Haynes repair manual. A portion of the proceeds from the sale of this vehicle will be donated to the COPD Foundation, in honor of my father.
