1968 Chevelle SS w/Build Sheet & Protect-O-Plate. This is a real 138 code car. I have original sales invoice/owners manual, etc. I also have all service records- oil changes, tune-ups, etc. up until the mid 1990's. With all the DOCUMENTATION, my plans were to put the car back to original state. So over the last years I have bought everything to put back to perfect original condition. I have several parts cars. I also have correct casting number block with EU code 396/350 with correct build date codes. The VIN on this block does not match. Correct heads and intake with correct casting numbers and correct date codes. I also have another 1968 L78 396/375 complete engine. These parts cars and parts are not part of this auction. They will be sold separately at buyers choice. This car has it's original M-40 turbo hydramatic A/T. It also has it's original KX code 12 bolt positive traction rear end. The gears have been changed to 4:11 or a 4:56. Other changes to the car-one piece bolt on fiberglass front end, cowl hood, doors & trunk lid. It now is powered by a SBC 355 with after market block and bow tie heads. Engine has comp. solid roller cam, edelbrock intake, 750 holly carb, hooker super comp headers, MSD dist., crane fireball ignition system. Runs perfect and strong. My plans were to sell all the pro street add ons. After selling all the pro street add ons, I should have most of my money back. This car is perfect for putting back original. All moldings, trim, grills, front and rear bumper, lights, etc. are in perfect condition. The only work to be done is repair trunk pan from where the fuel cell was added. Also, a few small holes that have been drilled into floor pan for roll bar. This car has NOT BEEN cut up or tubbed. All original parts inside and out will bolt right on. This car has NO RUST at all. Looks like a brand new car from top to bottom. As seen on the trim tag, exterior color-black. Interior black bucket seats with console. I drive this car regularly. All lights work. This car is completely street legal. But it is time to put it back original so that it will be worth the big bucks. I have other projects going on, so don't have time to do this one.
