Here we have a solid 1964 Porsche 356 C Cabriolet VIN 159923 that comes with engine number 712268. This car looks like a stalled project with the outer body presented in primer. The body shows well, so someone put some work into the car. Also of note are a couple of bonuses like the un-kinked hood or the brand new reproduction top frame and top canvas. The reproduction top frame was imported from Italy and is impressive. The engine turns over by hand. While the metal work looks solid in most places there are a few areas that still need to be addressed. The jack spurs were cut off but a new pair is included and are ready to be welded in. Also, there is some old patching at the front of the pans but some new metal is included for that area. Please look closely at all the pictures and you will get a really good idea about the car. With the skyrocketing price of 356 open cars this may be your last chance to get your hands on a decent project before they are all museum cars. The C cabriolet was the most refined and luxurious 356 ever built with disc brakes, this is as good as a 356 gets, any more improvements and you'll be sitting in a 911. Seriously, don't miss out!
