Vehicle Detail
There isn't much to had here. It's a very nice and very well equipped 5th Generation Jetta. I have owned both Japanese and German cars for many years now and I prefer German cars, even for a daily driver like this. It really hasn't changed much at all since new. It was driven on long commutes with no issues other than the need for regular maintenance. The interior is in great condition. There are some minor imperfections on the outside but for the money, if it was absolutely perfect, it wouldn't be an affordable car. As it stands it's very presentable. I generally put bullet points here to highlight the things I want to point out but really this is very straight forward. It has great options like rear vents and heated seats. It seats 4 adults comfortably and in a pinch you can add a fifth. This is a great car for someone who doesn't want to spend a lot on a new car and doesn't want to be in the garage all the time. Okay, I should point out if you've never driven one of these cars that they are a lot of fun!! I have had several Porsche 911's and 911 Turbos. I wish my current 911 Turbo had seats like this car...I also wish my monster Off-Road Touareg had seats like this car. It's zippy- it's not fast like a super car but it's faster than the old 911's I'd drive years ago if you can believe that. With all that torque and a really good six speed gear box that shifts quickly it gets you past those slow trucks. Speaking of the transmission- I use the tiptronic feature. I do this in my Touareg too, it's more fun and if you're a passionate and knowledgeable driver you can get a lot out of the power band...If not drive or sport mode is plenty! The engine is just superior because it's the only car that I know of for the money that has no timing belt! That's right so you don't have to worry about the belt breaking. Okay, bullet points after all. Lots of power and lots of torque for a light car that gets 21-29 miles per gallon. I get close to 29 even driving the way I do and it takes the basic gas (87 Octane) which is the least expensive) The brakes are good as are the tires. The CAFAX shows 4 owners but it's because since 2013 it's changed hands within the family a few times and back again and is now in my name. It was going to be a gift for a nephew but he ended up not wanting to drive (Very smart kid but not a chip off of this block I'll tell you). I was there when it was purchased at Paradise Volkswagen in 2008 and helped pick it out. Call me if you have any questions. Dean909-645-6303
