1954 Chevrolet Advance Design 3800 1 Ton with factory installed flat bed. Originally owned and worked for three decades by Pacific Fruit & Produce in Portland, OR. Truck had seized motor that I replaced with used later 235. Have used truck for past 3 years on my ranch, made numerous 60 mile round trips hauling over a ton of 3 string bales, on hot summer days & she never got hot. Headliner removed due to falling apart, metal bow still there. I replaced the hood with one that had more integrity in the hinge mounting area. Truck shows low oil pressure when warmed up, does not smoke or have ugly noises from within crankcase. Still 6 volt, Ammeter temp & oil pressure gauge work, starts ez, brakes are good, I rebuilt wheel and master cylinder. She steers nice, & the front end seems sound. Realistically I've never driven her over 45 mph.Truck has some minor rust issues in the usual advance design locations, such as the sill kick plates. Headlights, tail lights & parking lights work well, I've got long arms, so I've never got around to making the turn signals or brake lights work. She's no cream puff, but she is straight, cherry windshield, has integrity, potential and character. No wiggle room on price, do not waste your time.
