Vehicle Detail
I'm relisting as the last guy decided he didn't want to pay for shipping to Qatar after he won the bid. Shipping is on the buyer. 1982 280ZX Recently purchased in Denver in September. Absolutely great driving experience back to Dallas Tx. A personal change unexpectedly came up and has caused me to put this beautiful car back on the market. I'm simply reposting the previous owners post and comments from September below. Time to let my much loved and well taken care of Z car go. I have had it for seven years and have maintained it extremely well. This car runs like a top and always has, it is very fast and handles like a dream. You honestly get a bit too much attention as everywhere you go and almost every stop light, people want to ask about it. If I had the room I would keep it forever. If you can't put this car in a garage for the rest of it's life, and maintain it like I have, please do not consider buying it.I believe I am the third owner, the first two were father and son and they took extremely good care of the car as well, as far as I know it has always lived in Colorado. Over the years I have had small rust spots fixed and always kept the car in the garage or hangar. It has some very small spots that will need to be addressed over the next year or two, but other than that the car is perfect. Those spots are very small bubbles that have not broken thru the paint yet. I have some spare parts that I collected over the years, all will go with the car along with maintenance manuals. It has never had any engine leaks and doesn't burn any oil, never has. Clutch is great and never had any issues with it.T tops are in excellent shape, they do not leak and I have the shades for them. There is a very small leak in the drivers side window that drips when you pressure wash it.Everything works perfect except the intermittent wiper. The wipers front and back work fine other than that. Cruise, electric windows, audio information system ( 'left door is open' ), every thing works. Electric mirrors too.AC is very cold with new type Freon, it has never leaked.I have done a ton of stuff to it over the years, here's a list of what I can remember:Installed key fob remote electric door locksWheels were clear powder coated so they are always beautiful. . . a couple have some minor imperfections but they look great and will not fade.Halogen head light kit, they are very brightBrake calipers are paintedCusco strut bars on front and rear (really improved handling) New front end is a couple of years old (ball joints, tie rod ends, etc)New radiator and alternator (two years old)Seems like I replaced the shocks but it's been a few yearsNew front bra (one year old, doesn't fit very well)New electric antenna with spareNew window washer pump and tank with spareNew carpet and floor mats, extra insulation under the carpet for noise abatementDash mat (I honestly do not know if the dash has cracks, it's been covered up since I bought it).New updated radio with blue tooth and remote. Carbon fiber dash back plate, new speakers.Polished aluminum valve cover and new fan clutchNew brakes have under 5K miles on them including parking break (new cables)Stainless steel braded brake linesTires are great, less than 10K miles on themWithin in the past year: (Most work done at a Empire Nissan over the years by the same mechanic).New distributor, catalytic convertor, comprehensive tune up, new plug wires cap etc, water pump, alignment, had the timing chain inspected, it did not need to be replaced.Windshield is new but has two small cracks along the bottom thanks to that awesome Lakewood body shop. It was in the shop because I dropped my son's snow board on the hood and scratched the paint, we had some small spots repaired at the same time.BadHeadliner needs work on passenger sideIntermittent wiper doesn't workVery small leak in drivers doorNew front bra doesn't fit very wellMuffler is a few years old, in great shape but will probably be the first thing that needs attentionTint on back window needs replacing, minor tho, it's been that way since I got itIt will need a new battery soon as the body shop that worked on it last in Lakewood stole my red optima.139,000 Miles On Nov-09-15 at 09:57:33 PST, seller added the following information: 1982 280ZX Recently purchased in Denver and drove her back to Dallas in September.
