Vehicle Detail
1979 International Scout Traveler Up for auction is my 1979 Scout Traveler that it all original and is in nice running and driving condition. This beautiful Scout has a nice body and spent the majority of its life in dry and arid Eastern Oregon. There is some rust in the typical places, but it is easily repairable. I bought this for an expedition style project, but just have too many projects and not enough time or space! It has a nice running V8 345 engine with 4bbl carb. This is backed up by a 3 speed automatic transmission and 4x4. The Scout has a 4" suspension lift that will clear up to 33" tires. The interior is also totally original, with exception to the full roll cage to keep you and your passengers safe! It has aftermarket/custom bumpers front and rear, with provisions for a jerry can (spare gas tank), hi-lift jack and spare tire on the rear bumper! The factory hard top is fully removable and an aftermarket soft top or bikini top easily installs in its place! It is getting tough to find a Scout in this condition. The Scout runs, handles and drives great. It is powerful and comfortable and would make a great daily driver or weekend cruiser! I am sure there are several other details and new parts that I am forgetting or leaving out. Please keep in mind that this is a 40+ year old classic and is not perfect or without flaws. That said, you would be hard pressed to find one in better condition at this price! Please feel free to email with any questions. A $500 deposit is due via PayPal at auction end, with the residual balance due via cashier's check or wired funds within 3 days of auction end. Thanks for looking!
