Vehicle Detail
Take advantage of my unlucky timing. I purchased a brand new car back in early September, expecting to sell my Jetta soon thereafter. But then the VW diesel emission scandal hit the following week, and I've been holding on to it since then. I was hoping to sell the car for at least $10,000. But current Kelly Blue Book value, considering what I'm including with the car, is around $8,800, which is my "Buy It Now" price. The car has slightly over 96,000 miles on it. I bought it (I'm the original owner) because I was primarily doing highway driving for my commute. I would regularly get 45-50 MPG on the highway (even 60 MPG in the summer) and have been very happy with it. But I recently moved much closer to my work and with my short commute I bought an all-electric car to replace the Jetta. The car runs excellent, with recent service including an oil change, new fuel filter, air filter, diesel particulate filter, and MA state inspection. The car has an extensive list of features (all working fine) including satellite radio, 6-CD player, two auxiliary audio inputs, 110-volt outlet, sunroof, heated front seats, heated side mirrors, premium wheels, cruise control, air conditioning, steering wheel controls, Bluetooth, voice commands, two sets of floor mats (carpeted and rubber), and a trunk liner. The Goodyear Eagle F1 tires are in excellent condition, with only about 10,000 miles on them. The interior and exterior are in very good condition, with just a few minor scratches and imperfections. The car includes a set of winter tires (Michelin X-Ice) mounted on extra aluminum wheels (cost me over $1,000). I am also providing a VW roof rack (cost about $250), Bentley service manual (over $100), and extra fluids and filters (about $100). Finally, as part of VW's "goodwill package" I have received a $500 gift card that can only be used at a VW dealer. The card is not transferable, but I am happy to use it before transferring ownership to pay for any service or accessories you'd like. So if you don't mind emitting a high level of nitrogen oxides for a while until VW proposes a fix, this is a very comfortable, reliable, and fuel efficient car. Potential buyers are welcome to check out the car before bidding - I'm located in Burlington, MA. Thanks for looking. Brian.
