Vehicle Detail
1966 Real GTO (242 Vin) 389 3x2 Tri Power 4 Speed Believed to be the original 1966 YC 389 engine Has a Muncie 4 speed Casting # 3925660 stamped POK29A, with Hurst shifter The original Tach, gauges and lights interior & exterior work great Posi Traction Rear end with 3:55 gears The Original Exterior Paint color “B-B” is Blue Charcoal, Interior is “219-B” Blue It still has the original Interior, T-3 Headlights, Harrison radiator, drum brakes It has a nice wood steering wheel, the Cragar SS wheels are excellent, and tires are like new. The Dual exhaust is in great shape, and has an awesome mellow rumble. The overall paint has some bubbles, chips, scratches and other blemishes, and it appears to be acrylic enamel. The trim has some dings and holes drilled in it. The front grills are incorrect. The front floors are excellent, and the rear floors show some repair, the center floor braces have some rust; the trunk floor has been repaired. The frame also shows signs of repair in front of the rear wheels, and there’s a small hole behind the left front tire. I am very particular, and if a full rotisserie restoration would be performed to this GTO, I would replace the frame. I have an extremely clean Tennessee rolling frame; I would sell to the buyer of this GTO, for $1200. The car runs and drives great; I put about 80 miles on it yesterday (25 of them Highway miles at 70 MPH 3800 RPM). It has always been garaged kept, and has NO smoke, mouse or old car smell. This GTO is a nice driver quality car, and can be enjoyed as is with no work needed to have fun.
