I am re-listing my 1979 Corvette. I have lowered the reserve price. Very clean 1979 C3 Corvette. The interior is original and in excellent condition - pictures are of actual seats. Carpet is clean and shows signs of normal wear. This is a NON-SMOKER car. The power windows work as they should - the door locks are manual. I have replaced the shift knob with the larger white knob as seen in pictures, I have the original black chrome knob. The weatherstriping around the doors and T-tops is in excellent condition - I have driven the car in rain ( rarely ) and there are no leaks !! The wipers work as they should. This car DOES NOT HAVE AIR CONDITIONING. The car is equipped with the tilt - telescopic steering wheel and column. The radio is the original and works well. The cover for the rear cargo area is in place and in excellent condition. The car does NOT have cruise control. I purchased the car in the fall of 2014 as an change from riding Harleys. The previous owner purchased the car in July of 2000 with 28000 original miles. From that date until my purchase the car averaged less than 1000 miles per year - was stored in a heated garage in the winter - and was never driven in the rain. From 2000 until my purchase in 2014, the only time the windshield wipers had been turned on was during my test drive. At 36,500 miles a complete new exhaust system from the headers back was installed. At 38,000 miles a new rear leaf spring was installed. At 41,500 miles the brakes were replaced; including 4 new calipers & pads, front brake hoses, and a new master cylinder. A new battery was installed in the summer of 2014. In April of 2015, at 43,150 miles, a new set of B F Goodrich Radial TA's were purchased P225/70R15. A new alignment was completed when the tires were put on. Also @ 43,150 the car was tuned by a great local auto shop and included rebuilding the carburetor - rebuilt wiper motor, new valve cover gaskets, and various other routine wear items. In summary, I purchased the car in September of 2014 with 43000 miles. We have enjoyed the car - my reason for selling is to move up to a C5 Corvette. This is a "gas & GO" vehicle. We have driven the Vette about 4500 miles this year and had "zero" issues with the car. If something needed attention, it was fixed. Yes, you can likely purchase a Corvette for less money than this one - I doubt that you can purchase a Corvette that is as road ready as this car, for less money.
