Vehicle Detail
Have you ever searched for something so hard and just never been able to set your eyes on its existence? We all have that certain Holy Grail item lodged in our cranial cavities that taunts us in our private thoughts with relentless abandon. For the Muscle Car minded it’s the 1970 Chevelle SS 454 LS6 Convertible. For others it’s what we have before you now. All German and European enthusiasts have long coveted the E46 M3 Coupe for obvious reasons. Then add to your romantic notions of the 6 speed, navigation, power everything and low, low miles and it becomes almost too good to be true. Could it possibly be that it also has been a one owner car all its life and cared for by a meticulous retired engineer who babied it to the extent it never even saw a parking place other than the back of the lot away from all 4 year olds and shopping carts. No that would be way too much to ask from any ones delusions of grandeur. Could we stretch a small bit further and hope for a Euro-spec car with the factory cross drilled rotors and extra ponies to boot. As I said, today dreams really do come true. With a few small taps of the bid button you can finally scratch that itch that you never thought you could reach in a hundred years. That chance that may never come again! OK, Now that I have wet your whistle let’s give you some background on this little beauty. I purchased her from a friend of a friend who had purchased it in 2002 while he was working abroad for, I believe it was, Halliburton. He ordered it from the dealer with everything he thought he would ever need. He drove it briefly in the London area and then had it shipped home to enjoy. He lived close to work and, being single, just never racked up the miles. He is a very conservative, very meticulous, seasoned gent that treated it like his baby and loved it dearly. I came along several months ago and purchased it for my 23 year old son as a surprise. My surprise was him getting 3 speeding tickets (in his Jeep) the month prior to the gift and having no way to insure it. Now I had a dilemma, I loved the car and my son but there was no way I would put mister lead foot behind a pristine M3. The next best choice was to keep it and enjoy it. Let me explain something about myself, I have a habit in this department. I have 8 other ponies in the barn and just can’t keep them all. Time to thin the herd my wife has said and thereby comes your opportunity today. The car needs NOTHING. Tires are new, brakes are 80%, interior is near flawless probably due to only having 1 caring passenger. The paint is unbelievably amazing and there are literally almost no chips anywhere (Due to not riding close behind others bumpers). The original windshield is un-pitted and un-cracked and all the windows work perfectly. The motor purrs, ok it roars, like a kitten (a large one) and the shifting is smooth and precise like an M3 should be. The clutch is like new and the exhaust note is, well, Indy car-ish. The Navigation Stereo, 6 disc changer, power seats, moon roof, doors, locks, gauges, and everything else work like new. There is not one drop of oil on the floor, one bad scratch on the panels, one wrecked and repaired panel, one miss-aligned panel, one cracked lens, one cloudy lens anywhere on this car. The paint absolutely glows and looks 3 inches deep. The car has never been modified in any way and has always been serviced at the dealer. Really, could you ask for any more in a previously owned M3? All I have done to the car is: Tint the windows (black is hot in the summer) and put on a nice set of Beyern Mesh wheels. I still have the original wheels and they are near perfect with no curb rash. These are what will sold to the buyer or for 500 extra at the end of the sale if you want to have both. I have the original buyers order and many other forms he kept along the way. I have all the original owner’s manual materials and navigation discs and even the tool kit and first aid kit. I have both sets of keys and many other things. This car really is the whole package. Is it perfect, no, it is 12 years old and does have 53K miles on it but they are the most lovingly driven miles a car has probably ever had. Any small chips have been professionally touched up and they are few and far between. There is seriously not one ding in a door panel or one noticeable scratch. Today is your day, don’t miss this chance to finally get that car you have daydreamed about for so many years. You can’t go back to 2002 and get a new one but this little gem is as close as you will ever get. Bid like an owner, you won’t be disappointed. Happy Bidding!!! Please only bid if you have the funds available. I will require 1000 dollar deposit via paypal within 48 hours balance due before delivery. Shipping will be buyers responsibility but I will help facilitate in any way possible. Please call me if you have any questions. TOM 208-859-6000
