2002 crew cab dodge Dakota built for durability and reliability. The truck is originally from Virginia and has only seen one winter in the north country, NO BODY RUST!!! I have invested a huge amount of time and money into this truck. Every thing has been done right with no short cuts or shade tree mechanic repairs. Truck: 2002 Dakota Sport with HD package, 4 door crew cab, Virginia truck with NO BODY RUST, NP:233 transfer case, 9.25 Chrysler HD rear differential with LSD (same as 1/2 ram), Chrysler 8.0 front IFS front differential, 3.92 gears, Engine: The engine is a 4.7 HO out of a 2003 Grand Cherokee Overland Edition. The HO features stronger internals, higher compression, and better flowing heads to start with. Taking this motor to Andy Debransky I had the hole motor disassembled, cleaned, and overhauled. Compression is now at just under 10 to 1 for 87-93 friendly pump gas, the cams are very mild 206/212 HO/crane grinds, the motor is using the 03 HO intake manifold with HO 25lb injectors, The throttle body is polished out and powder coated to 66mm leaving the stock air hump for good rpm control. JTEC timing set and water pump replaced as well, This motor has under 7000 miles on it and is less then a year old. I have changed the oil 3 times at 500 miles, again at 3000, and again just a few weeks ago. Transmission: The transmission has been converted and upgraded to a 545RFE with transgo shift kit and BD 65RFE line pressure booster, torque management has been turned off but can be turned on easily with the programmer. Unlike normal Dakotas from 01-04 the 545RFE conversion allows the truck 5 forward gears instead of 4 with a normal 45RFE truck. The 5th gear is a double overdrive gear that is very nice for highway cruising at 75mph. The transmission is cooled by a factory HD coolant to fluid cooler before running into a auxiliary air transmission cooler in front of the radiator. Suspension: Being a TB front suspension I try to keep the front axles as strait as possible to reduce wear and maintain a smooth ride. The truck is raised 3/4 of a inch with the front suspension and a addition 1 1/8 using poly body mounts. Front shocks are Gabriel max controls and have a life time warranty. They are only a year old, The front bumper is trimmed slightly to prevent rubbing. The bed/rear is raised 1 inch by using the same poly body mounts and 3/4 of a inch with coil spring load leveling shocks that are about a year old and also have a life time warranty. Tires and rims: Brand new 33x12.50 R15 Duratrcs with maybe 400 miles on them. Rims are cragar 15x8 soft 8s with 4.75 back spacing. Brakes: The front brakes consist of EBC slotted HD brake rotors that are about 3 months old, pads are duramax max semi metallic. Rear drums are stock replacements but in good condition. Inside: EVEY THING works! REMOTE START! Keyless entry AC, Heat, power seats, heated seats, sound system, USB and aux ports and so on. The truck has a basic sound system with Sony door speakers, alpine deck, infinity tweeters and small 280 amp. I have started upgrading to a full leather interior with duel heated front seats and only need to switch out the drivers seat to be completed. The truck has been upgraded with a factory fog light conversion and has two front flood light that turn night into day. Axles: 9.25 Chrysler rear and 8.0 IFS Chrysler front. Both diffs are of course 3.92 gear ratios. The rear has a tuned up Limited slip differentail and both diffs are running 75-140 moble 1 synthetic oil that is probably about a year old now. Cooling system: besides the new water pump and replacing the HD radiator the cooling system is stock. The HD radiator is 1/2 inch thicker then a normal Dakotas and offers a huge amount of cooling. A new 195 degree thermostat was installed whith the new motor as well as the new water pump. The clutch fan has been removed and in its place a massive police intercepter crown Vic electric fan sits. This fan is turned on automatically by the trucks ECU and has been tuned to cut on at 208F so no switches to forget to flip. Tuning: Hemefever provides tuning by a SCT programmer with 7 custom tunes specifically for this truck, 87, 89, 91, 92, 93, 94, race tunes are all provided with the SCT programmer, transmission is controlled by a GC overland TCM for more aggressive 2-3 shift and earlier torque converter lock up. Intake and exhaust: Airaid intake tube with modified stock air box, K&N filter, 03 HO intake manifold, and polished 66mm throttle body help the engine inhale while JBA headers flow into a single NY state legal converter and then into a flow master exhaust. I have a book documenting this build from start to finish with pictures and bills. All parts still have warranty and I will be happy to transfer copies for any one to review. There is a lot more that I did not cover in this add but we can go over everything in more detail in person. This truck is a work horse that can get 19mpg on the highway and pull a 5000lb trailer like a half ton. The engine is estimated at roughly 300 horsepower and 345 foot pound of torque at the crank. That's not to shabby when you consider the truck tips the scales at around 4800lbs. Please no dreamers or junk offers. I have more invested in this truck then what I am asking.
