It was in process of being restored; prep for a new paint. Great time to get a vintage solid steel CA classic and make it your own. This Chevy was factory painted Mayland Black. Recently it was dark teal green, as you may note under the visor and in some photos. Older interior restorations with nice pleated front seat, very nice headliner, door panels & newer carpet. Original sun visor, dummy spotlights, both bumpers with shiny chrome with full chromed bumper extensions… custom dual tipped exhaust from the strong running vintage Chevy 6 cylinder. This car came with the factory Chevy 216 Inline 6 rated at 83 HP. It has been replaced with the stronger 1955 Chevy 235 factory rated at 130HP. This Chevy also sports a floor shift tranny, but I cannot verify this as a 3 speed or 4 speed as car has not been driven since delivery here for estate sale with other vintage Chevy. I have fired it up and it runs smooth and strong! This car is strictly sold as-is and needs further restorations so please bid accordingly. SOME AREAS NEEDING FURTHER WORK I NOTED: cracked glass/wing window, missing trims/window felts, need door handle attachment, missing sill plates, broken/unattached hood hinges, top of back seat sun deterioration with tape repair, final body fill & sand/prep. Overall car appears very solid as you would expect a CA vintage classic to be in, but this is a 69 year old vehicle needing work! I did note the upgraded Chevy 235 Inline 6 has custom vintage chrome valve cover & chrome side covers, new 12V battery & system, recent oil change & full tune-up with new plugs. Chevy has been lowered, had custom shaved trunk handle and the gas fill spout set into trunk interior with a new “Chev of the 40’s” gas cap. All newer Custom Wheels & New Tires.
