Vehicle Detail
1951 Chevrolet Styleline Deluxe WagonLOW 46,772 MILES “Original Restoration Vehicle" Vintage OEM Style Redone Vinyl & Cloth Seats & Newer Headliner This classic '51 Chevy California Woodie Wagon is a rare find with actual surf history. This wagon was held in long term storage for decades for restoration & display for RON JON SURF SHOP & surf museum in Cocoa Beach, FL. This vehicle was originally found in Southern California and shipped to Cocoa Beach for restorations and eventual long term barn storage about 30 years ago. Restorations were started on this rare find woodie with new interior seats & headliner. Wagon also has newer whitewall tires on vintage full sized 15" wagon sized rims. This solid survivor has extremely straight body panels & lines, and you can choose to keep the original patina & wear... or do further restorations.Vintage Surfing Window Stickers: a look at stickers which are actual vintage stickers from the 60's & 1970's : Hobie - Custom Greg Noll Surfboards - Surf Boards Dewey Weber ...the only way to travel… Gordie Surf Boards - ONE WORLD - Surfboards Hawaii - GORDON SMITH Mechanical & Details: You can see by photos car has most all original woodwork & panels, with great patina and minimal wear, new seat coves and headliners. When car was put into barn storage, it had the gas tank removed and brake lines disconnected and fluids drained. These have not been put back, so plan on a new gas tank ($200- cost online) and brake work. The engine has recently been fired up, and it runs smooth and leaks or burns no oil. Car has original body tags, missing some crank handles, all body panels extremely straight as you can see body and car appears to have a vintage light spray coat in yellow tan over an original burgundy color. Look at the bumpers, they need re-chrome but are amazingly straight solid steel and should be kept with the car. Plan on some wood repairs and further restorations... in a classic one of a kind actual surf history & a low mileage vintage Woodie Wagon... INVEST IN A CLASSIC! VALUES: Woody Wagons are the fastest growing segment of the investor car market. Ford/Mercury & GM Buick Woody Wagons typically run in the $50K to $80K ranges with some examples easily topping $100K at auctions. Chevrolets are still the most affordable wagons and are expected to dramatically climb in value according to several articles over the next year or two. This is a rare low mileage example with actual surf history and is priced with low reserve and affordable BuyItNow price on this classic restoration vehicle! A 1951 Woodie Wagon was the most expensive Chevrolet model produced in 1951.
