Vehicle Detail

1958 International A120 4x4 2 ton flatbed. Floor-shift 4 speed granny gear 2 ton transmission with drive shaft emergency brake. Hi-Lo transfer case. Upgraded jack shaft, drive shaft, and U-joints from 3/4 ton to 1 ton. 6 cylinder engine rebuilt in 2002, low mileage. Electric fuel pump. Upsized from 10" clutch to 12" clutch. New brakes, drums, and master cylinder 2010. 4" lifter shackles on front. Flipped rear shackles for 4" lift, overload springs, coil spring shock absorber boosters. Custom white 16.5x10” steel wheels on original 6 bolts centers, mud and snow tires in great shape. 6’x8’ flatbed with steel stake sides, needs new wood deck. Wood loading ramp slides into frame under flatbed, it slides out and hooks into the holes for the back stake sides. Ramp is heavy duty (and heavy!) but I can drive my motorcycle right up onto the flatbed. Custom steel front bumper/brush guard, extended with room for winch (but didn't install one.) Seats are bucket seats out of a Volkswagen, there is a custom center storage console/seat, but all need reupholstering. Roof-mounted spotlight works. All lights, brake, and turn signals in working order. License registration and insurance are current. The truck started out life as a pickup, I have had it since 1972 when I rebuilt the engine the first time and gave it the metallic green paint job. Faded now, my how time flies. Got 30 years out work out of it until second engine rebuild in 2002. The flatbed conversion was done in the late 70's. The bed is set up so it could be easily be made into a dump bed, but I never got around to installing the hydraulics or hinges. I don't drive it that much since I have a big new Chevy diesel as my work truck now, which is why I am selling the International. While it is mechanically sound, I don't have the energy to restore the finishes again. I've made all the modifications and can answer any questions about its history. I am the second owner, the first owner in Albuquerque, NM used it out at Sandia National Labs - it has the remnants of the original base sticker on the windshield, #1928.
