Vehicle Detail

1964 Chevy Nova I am relisting my 1964 Chevy Nova and dropped the "Buy It Now" price $1,000 to make it a great deal and to do any necessary repairs. Hopefully this will make it a quick sale. I purchased the Nova from Colorado Springs with a 350 Motor, 350 Transmission and Ford rear end with 373 gears & Disc brakes. It has the following: New interior ( buckskin color); New carpet (tan color); New custom gages; New painless wiring kit; New aluminum radiator; New brake booster and master cylinder; New 17" rims & tires; Newer custom paint; New weather stripping; New windshield; New front suspension kit (bushings, upper lower ball joints); New brakes and rotors & calipers, New Battery, New High Torque Starter; New Distributor cap, rotor and coil. Needs, radio, horn, and a good tuning. The car drives, shifts and stops, but could be better with some TLC. The alignment guy told me the front tires are a bit too wide and affects the steering. He alligned it to the specs (see the copy of the alignment sheet). There are some chips in the paint on the roof top. This car was a race car before I got it, so the quarters were cut out for slicks, but have been replaced with new ones. Front shock towers were cut and welded to hold a big block with fender well headers. I can include an original 1964 front clip if the buyer desires to go in that direction. This car has a sub-frame similar to a Mustang front end, so there are many variations for this car, i.e. tubular front end with coil overs (Classic Industries has some you can view on their website). This would be an awesome father/son project. Once completed, this car will be worth a lot more than what you would need to invest into it. I have a lot of time and money in this car, but is priced to sell fast. The car is located and registered in Huntington Beach, California. I strongly suggest that any potential buyer view the car in person. I have been burned in the past buying vehicles sight unseen. Please view all the pictures closely. I also added a video of the car. Cut and paste this extension on your browser https://youtu.be/-by1wdiVye0 Come see it in person and make me an offer. Please ask me everything and anything about the car and I will do my best to give you an answer in a timely manner. Thanks for looking and... Semper Fi! On Oct-26-15 at 19:50:50 PDT, seller added the following information: I tried posting this question to the listing, but it didn't go through. I cut and pasted it to the revisions. I'm trying to post all questions just in case someone else has the same question. Good Luck... Dear geoff2451, The car idles nicely, but sputters when your driving it. I adjusted the carb to the best of my abilities, but I am not a mechanic. The timing is off as well, but I didn't try adjusting it. That's what I meant by a "good tuning." I brought the car to an alignment shop (see pic). The mechanic told me it handles like an old car. The Nova does not handle like my 69 Vette's orig susp, but that doesn't say much because I didn't like the way my Vette use to handle. When you hit a bump in the Nova it has the same bump steer issue my Vette previously had. That's when I decided I wanted to upgrade the front end and suspension. I currently have my Nova in my garage waiting for its turn because I am still working on my other car. I decided to sell because I don't see me finishing this Nova anytime soon. Overall, with not a lot more investment, you can have a really nice Nova that would perform nicely as well. If I do the upgrades to the Nova I will be asking a lot more for it. I hope I clarified your questions. Good Luck! P.S. I forgot to mention the Nova needs a horn. Not a biggie, but I forgot to mention it. - semperfi! From: geoff2451 To: semperfi!
