Ok, so we listed this car last week and high bidder sent us a message that made no sense and he waned to cancel . Here we go again.This is a very good example of a great driving, mechanically sound 1965 230 sl. The car has been in our family since 1985. It sustained front end damage in 2000 and sat idle until 2010 when we had it repaired and had a major engine, brake system, and transmission overhaul performed by Helmut Holder of Houston. Also new tires, windshield and water pump. We recently put in a new exhaust system, had the water temp and oil pressure gauges rebuilt and replaced both the electrical and mechanical ignition partsThe car has been driven since rebuild and paint has some minor chips, a 12" blister on the hood and some cracks on edge of of hood - hood will have to be realigned and eventually repainted One ding on left rear bumper and one ding on left rear quarter panel Car needs window weather stripping and threshold mats are very worn ( pictured) Interior looks good for 50 yr old car. Some wear and tear on doors especially arm rests but dash looks great. Radio and clock do not work but all other gauges work properly. Vinyl seat covers and non original carpet installed in 2014. Car has no rust. Softy top only. Convertible top has 2 Stains (pictured ) Some chrome trim pieces missing ( pictured ) but easily replaceable.
