Vehicle Detail
Super cool truck that is ALMOST ready to drive. It's a 1968 Ford Ranchero in original paint, front disc brakes, 9 inch rearend, 351 V8, and with only 77,xxx miles on it. All I've done is add new 18" Coy wheels, tires, and lugnuts (about $1600), a GT hoodscoop (not actually mounted yet) and scotchbrite a little bit of the paint. It's got the look. There is surface rust, some actual rust, it NEEDS floors but the rockers are good. It's got a new carb, new radiator. It runs, it shifts, it stops, but as I found out after adding gas, the gas tank leaks badly and as I also found out, dripping gas onto your asphalt driveway will turn the driveway into black soup. There is a reason why there is no such thing as "gasphalt". They don't mix. I think with floor pans and a new gas tank, you'll be good to go. However, I DON'T KNOW WHEN THIS CAR WAS LAST ON THE ROAD. It's 47 years old, has rust, and I make no promises about anything. Don't plan to drive it home or even onto a trailer until you go through it. Check my feedback, look at the pictures.I might cancel the auction because I really like it and could use a truck myself, and it is seeming increasingly stupid to give up a complete cool car this close to running for an amount of money that won't even buy the aluminum heads an intake for my other project.
