Vehicle Detail
1967 Chevrolet Camaro 250 6 cylinder. Manual transmission 3 speed on the column, no power steering and no power brakes with 110,836 original miles. We are the 2nd owners of the Camaro since 1982. The car was restored by a body shop back in 1985. The Camaro had been driven daily for many years and then garage kept with limited use.It is mostly original other than the Cragar SS rims and a dual exhaust. It runs and drives great. The engine is the original engine. It has a light oil smoke at idle and the oil pan gasket is leaking oil but runs very strong. Both oil issues started after it had sat for a good period of time not being driven. Mechanically it is very good. Clutch, transmission, rear end, bearings, suspension and steering are all good. I replaced the whole brake system this spring with a new master cylinder, new front brake lines, rear connecting line, all wheel cylinders, all drums and shoes including all hardware in each wheel. The tires are over 20 years old so they could be replaced, but it passes inspection and I drive it locally with no problem. The body is in decent shape. However, the body work is starting to show. Some of the paint is checking and peeling, a lot of the repairs are lifting and rust is showing in some areas. The paint is discolored on the roof from having a tarp on top of the car while I was building a garage. The floor boards were repaired when the car was restored so they are in good shape. The trunk pan has some surface rust and a pin hole here and there, but is very solid. The rear shock towers were repaired when the car was restored, but are starting to show some rust again. The cover for the gas tank filler tube is missing in the trunk. This was removed because the car had a trailer hitch installed and the trailer was hit sending the tongue of the trailer into the rear panel of the car behind the license plate. The gas filler and trunk lid all work fine, but the filler cover was removed to make the repairs. The seats were re-upholstered when the car was restored. The carpet, headliner, door panels, etc... are all original. The carpet has holes under the drivers feet, and the headliner is stapled together at a ripped section. Overall the Camaro can just be driven in the condition it is or a quick cleanup to make it a fun driver. It would also make a good resto-mod or complete restoration project for sure. This car has brought many good memories to our family and I'm sure it will for you too. I've tried to describe its overall condition to the best of my ability and I have included as many pictures as I could to hopefully give you a good idea on what you are bidding on. The Camaro is being sold in the "as-is" condition! If you have any questions please contact me at (508)-776-3375 and leave a message Or Email at: Hobie16DMC@comcast.net before you place your bid.
