Vehicle Detail
The item you are bidding on is a 1989 BMW 535i. This was my father's car and he passed away late last year so it is time for me to get this moved out of the driveway. The vehicle was a project of his so and currently it does not run. It will turnover momentarily but then it turns off. I did drive the car as recently as last fall with him so I do know that it can run and the engine and transmission are both in working order. The battery is in good shape and the lights work, the air conditioning unit and radio both were working but are currently disconnected as he was doing some new wiring on them. One of the rear lights on the car needs a new bulb. The 18" rims and tires are both in good shape to the best of my knowledge, the rims were $1600 when he purchased him new a few years back and are still in good shape. The car doesn't have any noticeable dents or dings on the body nor scratches of any consequence. There are a lot of custom parts on this vehicle as he made tweaks to the side mirrors, the antenna, and the grill in the front to modernize the vehicles look a bit so it's guaranteed this won't look like any other vehicle on the road once it's up and running again. It has a body kit on the front. The gas gauge doesn't work. I will include a few spare parts he had for the car in the trunk as well as a hydraulic jack that was in there as well. There was also a second battery that I had tested at auto zone and does work. The interior is a two tone white and silver. The back seat is loose because he moved it frequently to gain access to the battery (the battery is located underneath the back seat) when he was working on the car. There is a full spare in the trunk. The paint job is custom and the paint was acquired from summit racing, it could use some light buffing but is more than good enough to drive as is. This car is a real looker and can be an excellent purchase if one has the know how to harness it's full power. It can also be used for parts if you have a compatible BMW as he put a good amount of money buying various parts and having them installed. If you have any questions please ask as I have included all the information I could recall from my dealings with the car but if there is anything else you might want to know I'll do my best to fill you in. Car is being sold as is. Buyer will be responsible for transport of the vehicle after purchase. Payment is required within 3 days after close of auction.T hank you for shopping. If you have any questions please ask, Happy bidding!
