Vehicle Detail

Thanks for stopping by, what we have here is a 1986 Corvette. I bought this vehicle in 2006 with a less than perfect motor. I decided to have an engine built to swap into the car. Most people go with a simple zz4 or even a 383 stroker, I decided to go a touch larger so I had the guys at TPIS build and spec me a 396 stroker engine also with that engine is the level 5 chip. It dynoed right at 500hp at the flywheel but even more impressive is the 468 torque. As you can see from the receipt I have SRP pistons Callies crankshaft and Manley rods ALL INTERNALS ARE FORGED. I had a grand scheme to supercharge this engine so it needed to be strong. All in I have over $11,000 in the engine with torque converter and msd ignition box. Overall the car is in pretty fair shape all of the body panels are in good shape interior has a few new plastic pieces. The dash cluster works perfectly all switches and readouts are completely lit there are no burnt out parts at all. Tires are in great shape and have about 5000 miles on them. Carpet is worn but not totally worn out. Now for the part you've been waiting for the reason I'm selling is there has been an electrical gremlin that I can not find and I have just decided to throw in the towel. I'm fairly handy as I have done all the work on the car myself and had 1 buddy help with the engine swap. I purchased an electrical short detector and have been front to back 3-4 times with it and haven't had any luck. I have it nailed down to 3 possible things either a bad ECU, a short in the wiring harness or a bad injector although they all test fine with the noid light. The main problem is that it keeps blowing the INJ1 fuse. Now I can idle the car all day long even drive it around the neighborhood but once I get it out on the street hit a few bumps take a few turns and open it up something either shorts out or overloads the INJ1 fuse blows and the injectors no longer respond to the ECU. That is the big reason I am calling this car a project I will guarantee that this car will start run and drive but I would not trust it outside of the city limits. I am also suggesting that you bring a trailer or have AAA handy as I have driven it 60 miles and it was fine and 1 time it died on the other side of town. Also I did notice that the thermostat needs to be replaced it seems to be getting the engine warm but the radiator was still cool. If I have time I might try to get this replaced. As far as the stereo goes when I got it there was nothing but a hole in the dash, the previous owner had an expensive head unit that he wanted to keep so most of the factory bose system is gone except for the grills. It is wired front to back with power/ground and full RCA cables for front/rear/sub. Nothing is hooked up so there is no stereo as of now. Also there are a few extra goodies on the car that I haven't listed TPIS ceramic coated long tube headers (catless) Full Borla SS exhaust PATC complete 700r4 Billet servos (not installed but included) I also have a short video of the exhaust and engine bay while its running you can send me your email and I'll try to get that to you mine is jrfn82003 at yahoo.com put in the title something about corvette ebay exhaust so I know your not a computer. Thanks for taking the time to read through this I will not ship the car any arrangements need to be made by the buyer. I will not be taking trades either. $300 is due 48hrs from auction end and full payment must be made in 7 days. I will take payment any traditional way and I will even take Paypal but if you choose to pay through Paypal you have to pay any fees. Any questions feel free to contact me.
