Very good example of a great driving, mechanically sound 1965 230 sl. The car has been in our family since1985. It sustained front end damage in 2000 and sat idle until 2010 when it was repaired and had a major engine, brake system, and transmission overhaul performed by Helmut Holder of Houston Also new tires and new windshield. Recently put in a new exhaust system, had the water temp and oil pressure gauges rebuilt and replaced both electrical and mechanical ignition parts.The car has been driven since rebuild and paint has some minor chips, a 12" blister and cracks on hood edge (pictured) -hood will have to be realigned and eventually repainted. One ding on left rear bumper and one ding on left rear quarter panel. Car needs window weather stripping and threshold mats are worn (pictured). Interior looks good for 50 yr old car , some wear and tear on doors but dash looks great. Radio and clock not working but all other gauges work properly. Vinyl seat covers and non original carpet installed in 2014. Car has no rust. Soft top only. Convertible top has 2 stains (pictured) Some chrome trim pieces missing (pictured) but easily replaceableOverall this is a very nice car that runs great with a little restoration can be an awesome car Vehicle is sold in As Is condition.
