Vehicle Detail
1975 International Scout II Up for auction is my 1975 Scout II Rallye edition that has been beautifully restored and is in great running and driving condition. This beautiful Scout has an excellent body and spent the majority of its life in the western desert. It has a freshly re-sealed and detailed V8 304 engine with all new belt driven accessories, aluminum radiator, radiator hoses, belts, Holley 2300 carb conversion and brand new exhaust. This is backed up by a 3 speed manual transmission and 4x4. The brakes, steering and suspension have been fully inspected and restored with all of the following new parts: power brake booster, master cylinder, stainless braided brake hoses, poly spring bushings installed, new IH Parts America heavy duty shackles and steering drag link. The caster has also been adjusted to provide 4 degrees of positive caster - which makes the Scout drive, steer and handle beautifully. It has a new poly fuel tank and sending unit installed for a clean, trouble-free fuel supply. The body has been professionally stripped and re-painted with two-stage base/clear DuPont paint with a new Rallye stripe kit installed. The interior has been fitted with high-end reupholstered factory bucket and rear beach seats, new factory front vinyl floor mat, new weather stripping on doors, top and windshield. It also has a factory roll bar with a padding kit installed on top - to keep the kids from bumping their heads! The windshield and gasket are brand new. All of the lights, blinkers, etc. work as intended. The factory hard top is fully removable and an aftermarket soft top or bikini top easily installs in its place! It is almost impossible to find a Scout II in this condition. The Scout runs, handles and drives great. It is fast and comfortable and would make a great daily driver or weekend cruiser! I am sure there are several other details and new parts that I am forgetting or leaving out. Please keep in mind that this is a 40+ year old classic and is not perfect or without flaws. That said, you would be hard pressed to find one in better condition! Please feel free to email with any questions. A $500 deposit is due via PayPal at auction end, with the residual balance due via cashier's check or wired funds within 3 days of auction end. Thanks for looking!
