The color, Sahara Beige, was only offered in 1966. Although detailed records were not kept very well by Ford, it is estimated that less than 2% of the production was painted Sahara Beige. It has had one high quality repaint that still shows exceptionally well. This is an all numbers matching unit with original 289 2bbl / C4 transmission. Has factory air conditioning w/ orig. R12 that blows ice cold w/o issues. I have a 10.5 lb. tank of R12 that will be included in the sale. The Factory Power Steering turns on a dime. Has a brand new set of Scott Drake 15x6 Style Steel Wheels with BFG tires. It was a personal preference to install '65 Style Steel Wheels versus '66 because the '65 wheels have the bronze inlay color vs. the dark charcoal color of '66. The bronze color accents the Sahara Beige color with sheer elegance. The following service / cosmetic items have been done: · Power Steering hoses · Fel-Pro oil pan gasket · Mystic Synthetic Blend Oil, 15W50 with Zinc. · Run with 93 Octane with lead additive· Replaced rear differential oil· back window gasket due to original was showing signs of age· Installed new front shocks · rear brake shoes and cylinders when I had the front disc brakes installed· full reproduction center console with wiring· SSBC Slotted 4 Caliper Disc Front Brakes w/ master cylinder · battery in 2014· Car cover & shop manuals All mechanics function as they should. NO ACCIDENTS and retains all original sheet metal / floor pans. No rust other than typical small superficial surface underneath, just like you see on disc brakes after a car wash.
