1973 Chevy Vega GT Hatchback with the Millionth Vega option. It has the stock: 4 speed Saginaw, driveshaft, rear end, front/rear sway bars and 4 GT rims installed. *Needs engine, seats and windshield to complete. L-O-T-S of work already done. About $7000 invested in parts and labor. Body - in good shape, some small dents; floor pan has some holes that need to be patched and welded (Mig Party); front frame rail under battery needs some rust repair; A-arms by engine mounts are strong. New lightweight fiberglass rear hatch, with tinted 1/8 thick Lexan installed. New 1/8 Lexan rear side windows installed. Rust repair work on windshield channel is finished & is ready for a front windshield. The original hood is in good condition & is installed. Brakes - stock front and rear brakes in good condition, New master cylinder installed and lines flushed with new fluid; front wheel bearings greased; parking brake adjusted. Steering - has stock power steering in good shape, New V8 friendly tie-rod ends installed; all ball joints/etc. lubricated. New raised while letter front tires on stock repainted GT 13x6 wheels, wheels balanced and front wheel alignment done. Cooling - 1988 Corvette aluminum radiator, good condition, has automatic trans hookups, installed; frame notched & strengthened; only needs radiator hoses Engine - stock engine is out & gone; ready for a V6 or V8. Has Don Hardy V8 side engine [frame] mounts in great condition, installed, used New grade 8 bolts. Engine compartment degreased, cleaned, sanded, primered & painted; "K" member cleaned, sanded painted and new bolts. New sbc V8 Engine mounts installed with grade 8 bolts. Transmission - has the original Saginaw 4-speed, has New fluid; cleaned & lubricated the throw-out bearing and new cotter pins on shifter arms (and lubricated). Transmission case and trans cross member cleaned & painted. Has the stock Vega shifter. Comes with a V8 Monza bell housing in great condition, & two shifter forks in great condition; all are painted and ready to bolt on. Driveshaft - stock, lubricated Rear end - stock original Vega unit; looks Good. Cover removed and old gear oil drained. New gear oil added. Fuel - Brand new 8 gallon plastic fuel cell/tank with rear sump (no foam) installed; fuel line, fittings and filter installed; only needs your choice of fuel pump. Electrical - all lights work; New headlights with all new/repainted bezels & hardware. Fuse block had 4 rusted out fuses. These have been rewired & bypassed and added New wires and New inline fuses. New battery, battery box and cables installed. Interior - stock GT dash and gauges; original GT steering wheel; the rest was old and thrown out; needs 2 front seats. Mainly needs a small block Chevy engine ....... windshield and seats to finish.
