1950 Chevrolet 3600 Pickup 3/4 Ton 5 Window with 235 engine has had some partial restoration. EngineEngine was flushed, couple of freeze plugs replaced, new mechanical fuel pump. Vehicle had already been upgraded to a 12 volt system. Basic tune up was done: new points, plugs, wires, carb rebuild, and lifters checked. Body and ExternalI have taken it down to the frame and cleaned and painted it. Most everything was put back together as original after being cleaned, painted, and/or replaced. I wanted it just to drive around as a project car, therefore I did not really do any major body work. I shot the car with some single stage paint, which needs to be gone over again soon. Items that are not replaced as original parts are the brake booster, which I upgraded to a powered booster; and the wheels, which split rims cannot be ran on the roadways of Oklahoma. I do have the 5 original split rim wheels and tires (Dated in the 50's), that will go with the truck. Both front windows need replaced, due to a small crack in one and some fog in the other. The truck does have the chrome package, some of it being pretty aged looking (like the bumpers). I think I have most if not all the external chrome trim pieces, but not all installed. InteriorI have only painted the metal on the interior and put a temporary cover on the seat for driving. I have quite a few parts to finish some of the interior, but they still need cleaned and painted. I am currently using some after market gauges, but I do have the old gauges and parts. Parts I know I do NOT have for the interior are seat cover, headliner, liner for door panels, arm rests, glove box body (original was cardboard stapled together) and floor carpet. Other Items Not Finished or Need AttentionRear end has a slow drip and needs a seal replaced. Have done nothing with transmission, but have not had any issues driving.
