Clean, low miles at 135,000, one owner until December 2014, white w/ brown leather, 1992 600SEL. This was the flagship model and the sticker price was about $133k. It has a smooth and powerful V12 with over 400HP, and is fully loaded. It has phone controls on the dash and phone in center console. Dual electric adjustable front and REAR seats including headrests, am/fm/cass/6 disc CD Changer and Bose stereo speakers. And, as you can imagine, it provides a very safe, quiet and comfortable ride. The dual pane glass certainly helps make for a quiet cabin. These were hand made and from what I understand only about 5,000 made over the couple years they made this. Mercedes' goal in the development of the 600 was to create a remarkable car that would compete with Rolls Royce head to head. The 600 was offered in a limited production and was Mercedes first production V12, offering 405 hp. This mammoth power plant is capable of launching this over 5,000 pound vehicle from rest to 60 in 5.7 seconds. Awesome, smooth torque. It has a matching set of Michelin 235-60-16's with loads of tread (2012 mfr yr). The previous owner had it maintained over the years at Brumos in Jacksonville, and he still owns 13 other Mercedes-Benz. This was his company car. Here are the only things I see not working as expected. It has 'close-assist' doors and trunk, which closes partially ajar doors for you. When I have disconnected the battery in the past, the close-assist operates properly on all doors. After a time, a couple doors no longer close for you, and the trunk, too. Another item is the passenger rear window rarely goes up fully when up push the up button one time. When it doesn't, you have to touch it multiple times to close or use your hand to assist. Lastly, while the air conditioning is fully charged and doesn't leak, the compressor does not always kick in like it is supposed to. More often than not the A/C won't blow cold. Heater works like no one's business. Heated seats, too. I have been told this is an issue with a sensor (or something like that) tied to the compressor clutch. There are many features, like rear lighted courtesy lights, cigarette lighters at all doors, moon roof, retractable rear window screen and rear headrests, which all work.
