1979 PONTIAC TRANS AM This is a mint condition Trans Am with only 16,033 miles. Body: Totally rust free and straight body. Solid southern car with no prior damage or body repairs. Flawless paint. The 70s GM silver paints were bad about fading and the car was repainted in its original Platinum color 6 years ago with an expensive high quality paint job and factory correct decals. Paint code 15L 15U. Clean everywhere including door jambs and trunk. Clean floors. Interior: Excellent interior in Carmine Red with custom option. Trim code 74N. Very nice seats, door panels, carpet, headliner, console and dash. Nice factory floor mats. The carpet and package shelf have been replaced due to fading. The weather stripping was also replaced. Mechanical: 6,6 liter engine with automatic transmission. Power steering and brakes and limited slip differential. The car is in excellent mechanical condition and runs and drives like you would expect from a 16,000 mile original car that has been well maintained. Everything is factory original with the exception of Flowmaster mufflers and new shock absorbers and BF Goodrich TA radials. No modifications. Uncut hood scoop. Everything on the car is working, including ice cold air condition, even the factory clock is working. The compact spare wheel and pressure bottle are in place. Options: The car is loaded with factory extra cost options including: Custom interior group, power windows, air condition, tilt wheel, cruise control, tinted glass, lamp group, Snowflake cast aluminum wheels, Delco am/fm/8 track stereo, hood decal, body side moldings, HD battery, custom color keyed seat belts, additional acoustical insulation, front and rear floor mats, wl tires, roof drip moldings, window sill moldings. Everything is documented on the paperwork which matches the car in all details. Documentation: Original window sticker, original build sheet, original dealer order. The original dash vin plate, the door vin sticker and the cowl body tags are all in place. History: Sold new at Don Hill Pontiac in Kingsport, Tennessee. The original owner in Tennessee kept the car for 30 years. He sold the car with only 13,766 miles on it. The second owner kept the car for 6 years. I have owned the car since.
