This body-on restoration of a straight, solid 1949 Cadillac Coupe de Ville was completed last year. It drives as good as it looks. Cadillac received the Motor Trend Car of the Year Award in 1949 which was the first year the Coupe de Ville and the overhead valve 331 V-8 engine were manufactured. It is often times referred to as a hard top since there is no post between the front and rear side windows. Of the 2,150 made only a handful exist in such fine condition.
