Vehicle Detail

Here we have a solid 1971 Mustang Convertible, rare to find one not rusted out. Some surface rust underneath, easily removable, see photos, only rust holes I see are on the battery tray (common occurrence) which you can replace easily. The car runs and drives, motor and trans seem pretty good. This car has been sitting, I have had it over a year and have not done anything to it but drive it a few times to keep it going. Same was true for the previous owner. The brakes are down to the floor, but will stop the car to load on a trailer. The power steering leaks pretty bad. The AC does not have a belt, but looks complete, I assume something is broken but have not looked into it.The gas tank has been replaced by a previous owner. I am moving shortly and won't have the room to store the car. This should be a great project for someone with more time than me. Or put it a way for later. I have put on lots of photos but you can ask anything you like and I will get back to you. The top is gone but the frame is still there, it is a power top and the hydraulics still work but were slow when I put it back up, although the battery was about dead too. I will charge the battery before it leaves. I have not checked the top fluid. The interior needs cleaning and the door panels are not in the best shape but you can clean it up to be passable, the seats are not bad and the carpet is there and in ok shape too. I was going to put a new interior in so I really haven't paid a lot of attention to it. All window glass is there, the drivers door glass at the very top is slightly chipped, same thing was on the last mustang convertible I had, not sure if it is common but ironic that I have had 2 of the same year and both had that. 5 Day auction, goes off Sunday, Good luck bidding!!
