Serial Number 29069. Built February 22, 1953 For sale is this absolutely exceptional example of a beautifully restored MG TD. I got the car from the family of a local businessman who passed away a few years ago. The prior owner did the major restoration with painstaking attention to accuracy, detail and originality. The wood underneath the car is in perfect condition. As with any older restoration, there are a couple of tiny chips/scratches in the paint and an area behind the front bumper that has been pushed in slightly. Both of these are barely noticeable, but I feel should be pointed out. This beautiful 1953 MG-TD roadster comes finished in a deep gloss Jaguar Blue over Butterscotch leather hides with Tan canvas soft top and matching side curtains. Powered by its original, number’s matching 1250cc XPAG straight 4-cylinder XPAG engine with dual SU carburetion producing a modest 57 horsepower at 5200 rpm. Features include 4-speed manual transmission, dual outside mirrors, correct Jaeger gauges & Lucas amp meter, wind wings, electric wipers, new stainless steel exhaust system, and a rear-mounted luggage rack! All body and engine tags are clearly present and unaltered.
