It was decided that we would need to obtain our Wagoneer from a market that didn't use salt. Early this Summer friends invited our family to visit them at their Ranch in Bozeman Montana, we accepted, and I thought it would be great to fly out and have a Wagoneer waiting for us, then tour Yellowstone and meander home to Chicago…classic Road Trip...and that what we did! I located a pair of His and Her Wagoneers that were the “in season vehicles” at a Summer home in the mountains of Big Sky Montana for 25 years...they have been maintained by the same mechanic for the entire time and started and driven by the homes caretaker on a regular schedule during the off season. The owners were an 83 year old Doctor from South Carolina and his wife...they still have the Summer home...they just decided on a newer vehicle. The Wagoneer you are looking at was the wife's, is the more original of the pair, and it also has fewer miles. They were being sold as a pair. I bought the pair, had them both brought to the mechanic who had maintained them, asked him to pick and make ready the best one for the journey, and sent the other to our home outside of Chicago by transport. The trip home went off without a hitch and the Wagoneer performed great in Yellowstone Park, the Badlands, the mountains, and on the highway...65 MPH (on cruise control) all the way...perfect alignment / balance, a/c, operating temperature, and no oil consumption. The Wagoneer is original, extremely well cared for/ maintained, all electrical works (except driver's side door switch for dome light), and has never seen salt. She looks wonderful and the wood paneling has a warm "glow" the other one does not have. The interior is perfect and exterior outstanding…I have included pictures of exterior imperfections. Mechanically she is original and well maintained. New parts in the past 3k miles include radiator, several hoses, all belts, brakes, and Yokohama tires. Included (new in boxes) are a starter and water pump that I had the shop order for my trip…just in case. I have a copy of the Montana title showing the purchase date of 1990. This is a Great Wagoneer.
