The engine was linked to a five-speed automatic transmission equipped with the Touch Shift feature, which enabled the driver to upshift and downshift by nudging the shift lever left or right. Standard equipment for the 2001 CLK320 coupe included Mercedes' TeleAid emergency communication and assistance program, and an Electronic Stability Programming (ESP) anti-skid system, as well as anti-lock brakes and Brake Assist, which applied full braking in emergency situations. Other standard features included power-adjustable front seats with memory settings, a leather-trimmed steering wheel and shift knob, leather seats throughout, air conditioning, cruise control, power heated mirrors, power door locks, a two-zone automatic climate control system, a lighted entry system, and a Bose premium audio system with a cassette player. The CLK320 also came with a Smart Key electronic anti-theft ignition system that replaced a regular key, and optional rain-sensing windshield wipers that automatically varied in speed depending on the amount of rain. They considered it a fun and sporty car to drive. They also liked the extra stability and anti-skid systems, which provided improved traction in inclement weather conditions. PROTECTION, A MB WIND SCREEN THAT FULLY INCASES THE BACK SEAT WITH A SCREEN ACROSS THE TOP OF THE BACK SEAT AS WELL ALL OPEN SPACES ACROSS THE BACK OF THE TWO FRONT SEATS MAKING IT IMPOSSIBLE FOR ANYTHING TO FLY OUT WHEN DRIVING AT HIGH SPEEDS, IT WILL STORE IN A ZIPPERED CASE WHEN NOT NEEDED, BOSE AUDIO, BASICALLY THIS CAR IS IN VERY NICE CONDITION FOR A CAR ITS AGE, IT HAS NO MAJOR ISSUES, THE PAINT SHINES, IT IS NOT A NEW CAR, BUT IT LOOKS BETTER THAN MOST CARS GOING DOWN THE ROAD, IT HAS MISC PEBBLE CHIPS & SCRATCHS ON THE LOWER PORTION OF THE FRONT SKIRT FROM NORMAL DRIVING, IT HAS A SHOPPING CART DENT ON THE LOWER FRONT PANEL ON THE DRIVERS SIDE NEAR THE TIRE THE LEATHER IS NICE, NO RIPS AND SOME LITTLE WEAR MARKS AS YOU CAN SEE IN THE PICTURES, AND ARE VERY COMFORTABLE, ONE THING, I HAVE NOTICED A FEW DEAD PIXLES IN THE DIGITAL CLOCK, THERE IS A SERVICE FOR $115.00 THAT WHEN YOU MAIL THEM THE INSTRUMENT CLUSTER THEY WILL REPLACE THE ELECTRONIC TAPE STRIP. , REPLACE ANY OF THE TINY BULBS AND MAIL IT BACK TO YOU WITH A LIFETIME WARRANTY, IT WAS AN ISSUE THAT I HAD NO INTEREST TO PERSUE, I WEAR A WATCH, THE CAR LOOKS GREAT AND HAS HAD A RECENT HIGH DOLLAR 100K SERVICE AND IS VERY ROADWORTHY, THE PERSON WHO PURCHASES THIS CAR WILL SEE THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN A CAR THAT IS SPECIAL, THAT HAS NEVER SEEN SNOW, THAT HAS BEEN VERY WELL CARED FOR AND FEMALE ADULT DRIVEN AND HAS NEVER BEEN ABUSED, AND THEN YOU HAVE ALL THE REST OF THE QUESTIONABLE CARS THAT ARE OUT THERE FOR SALE , YOU CAN ALWAYS FIND A CAR FOR A LITTLE LESS MONEY BUT FINDING ONE THAT WAS CARED FOR AND MAINTAINED AS MUCH AS THIS CAR , AT NO RESERVE, WILL TAKE YOU A VERY LONG TIME, SO......
