Vehicle Detail
***Re-listing due to winning bidder backing out of the deal. Please only buy if you intend on paying***** As of 8/25/15 the bike will start on 2-3 kicks and will run for a little while before shutting off. Probably needs carb cleaned/adjusted. For sale is a 1971 Suzuki TM400R cyclone "widow maker". This is the first year for the TM400 and the most sought after. The '71 TM400 is becoming very rare to find in any condition. I bought the bike with every intention to do a show room restoration but it got put aside for other projects. I've installed a NOS clutch cable, NOS air filter, NOS carb manifold boot. The bike comes with extra parts I've gathered when I first got the bike including NOS grips, NOS foot pegs, NOS brake pedal, NOS rear fender (the one on the bike currently is not the stock one), NOS front fender, some misc hardware, manuals and magazine reviews, a set of forks ( the upper tubes on the bike have rust that's why I include this set), used sprocket cover and mag cover, NOS ignition coil, NOS kick starter, NOS gas cap, NOS side cover decals, NOS front brake cable, etc etc. The inside of the gas tank is nearly rust free. The seat cover has no rips. The exhaust is pretty solid there is one place where somebody welded it also there's a small dent shown in pictures. I have no clue why one of the previous owners painted it as a '72 TM400 but this bike is a '71. One way to tell is that the '71 400 had the oil tank on the left hand side and in '72 they made a larger oil tank and put it on the right hand side. This bike would make for a fairly easy restoration project or just ride as is. Please don't bid if you have less than 10 feedback and don't bid if you don't intend on paying. I accept PayPal or cash. I will not ship the bike myself it is up to you to pick the bike up or have a shipper pick it up. I recommend Uship I've had a couple bikes shipped using Uship and haven't had a problem. The bike does not come with a title since it is a motocross bike. Thanks for looking and good luck if you have any questions just ask.
