This MGB is one of the rare well maintained original cars that rarely come onto the market. It was sold new at the local British Leyland dealership here locally and has only had 2 owners since new. It has never been fully restored and has never been abused so it hasnt needed it. Instead, it has been repaired and maintained to the highest standards and received everything it needed when it was needed. Finished in the orignal Blaze Red (1 repaint) with its original black interior. It is so original that it still has the spare key attached to the engine bay that the dealer was supposed to remove upon delivery. The records on the car show how well it was maintained by British Motors, the MG specialist that was open until just a few years ago. Recently it has had a thorough servicing mechanically and a cosmetic restoration. Mechanically the major systems were gone through including all filters, hoses belt, carbs, distributor and a full brake hydraulic rebuild. The front suspension was rebuilt with urethane bushings. New Panasport style minilite wheels were fitted (a period style wheel) with new performance tires. Cosmetically it received a full respray after trim and interior was removed. New rubber was installed at this time. The interior was in great original shape including a crack free dash (extremely rare). New carpet was fitted however along with new door panels and a new high quality Robbins top. The Late chrome bumper cars were the pinnacle of production in many enthusiasts opinion. Still with the classic chrome bumpers and traditional grill, but with such upgrades as comfortable seats, Full syncro gearbox and a host of other improvements that made it much easier to live with. This Example takes it several steps further and is equipped with some rare options and upgrades. Its now had much restoration work done to a great standard and it shows. This is a rare opportunity, If you want a very good MGB at a very reasonable price, this is the one. Its hard to find such a car, and very few exist. The cost of the restoration work alone would cost more than the price of the car. That does not include finding such a nice chrome bumper MGB.
